Title: MicroMillions anyone?
Post by: pokerplayingfarmer on March 21, 2015, 01:40:39 AM
Surprised there isn't already a fun sweats thread going.  Can't imagine I'm the only one playing a few?

Wanted to start it with a bang but alas, 78th in mm13 limit stud. I'm chuffed really as it was my first ever stud comp.

GL all.

Finished 58th.  Can't complain from a huge field of 11118.  At least I didn't keep the wife waiting too long.  Will post my busto in pha later, still undecided whether I was right to shove when I did.

Kinda feel like I'm flogging a dead horse here but I'll carry on a bit with a few of my updates anyway.   Had a cash in the HU shootout today, made on really bad call pre which cost me a final 512 place.  Bombed out of the Sunday storm early in unspectacular fashion but I've built up a 4x average stack in the 5.50 progressive event 033.  In profit from bounties now sitting pretty 64/13093 at break :)

Cheers guys, money bubble just gone not that it's made much difference, an extra $3.  Same 20k stack as last break, dropped to 15k after I raised KQ and missclick called a 5k 3bet shove ffs.  Anyway I was flipping so not too bad shape but lost it anyway.
1000/6200

Well that was a yoyo hour, 33k, 17k, ended on 38k.  732 of 2194 remaining.
c/o mins 2k, I 3 bet button 4.5 TT, BB cold calls, OR calls.  9 high board I bet 9k/fold to shove, BB shows QQ.  Left me with 17k which I doubled luckily.  I 3bet shoved a 6 high board with AQ, never expecting a call as his flop sizing was smaller than usual, anyway got one from K6 and I get there.  And get mugged off in the chat lolz.

I'm up for taking one down I'm really feeling on top of my game at the moment and had some deep runs in these big fields, wont be tonight though unfortunately, busto 946th.

Upto 80k, then lost a flip v shortie for 17k, then lost minimum with KK on a JJ7 flop, Obviously BB had peeled with J5o.  Just half way down the ski jump here, Raise cbet folded twice, then ISO shoved 11bb AJ after a 4bb all in (AJ also),  button has KK, bb has AKcc.  Clubs get there. Standard spot really although I think I'm passing the AK after that action in front.

Not sure I'll be on tomorrow I'll be off DTD if I'm home in time, Fancying the HORSE tuesday, again if I'm home in time.  If it rains a lot I wont have to be ploughing!

Yeah that always helps!

Not ended up going anywhere tonight, couldn't be arsed with the drive.  late regged the 5.50 event 42 and promptly handicapped myself to 3.6k from the starting 5.

Post by: pokerplayingfarmer on March 23, 2015, 09:25:51 PM
Well that didnt go well, hero'd a guys river shove with QQ on a flushing board, mainly because his line was exactly as I would of bluffed it and I just didnt believe.  Stupidly.  Anyway I doubled with AK then bust with JJ v AK aip.  Probably wont play the 3.30 later unless I look like having a good deep run in a reg comp.  GL those playing.

Managed to get home and late reg the HORSE, slipped my mind that I have to take my eldest to rugby training, he's going to get a lesson in how to play a couple of games on the mobile app en-route!  He's 9, about the right age to start HORSE yeah?

Ran like a 3 legged horse outdrawn in every spot, misssed the 4.40 4 max unfortunately but I have a good mate ITM so good luck him.  I just regged the 2.20rb so this should be fun!!

Anyone playing any tonight?

Late-regged the $4.40 earlier, and still floating about, but there is a couple thousand left...

My mate still in but short now, he just had AK on a A26K turn v 66 which isnt good for anyone in 4 max.

rebuy comp is great!!!  Got to add on period 20/9500, a 31k stack open shoving 99 into my 19k KK at 300/600 helped with that :)

Good luck if you're still going mate!

My mate still in, last 1000 now.  He's playing some good stuff i havent even bothered regging any more too busy watching him!

Im still going ok in the 2.20. above average 90k at 1500/3000 but its really tricky at the mo, a lot of 30-45k stacks just itching to gii pre so ive slowed down a bit.

I'm still in but only just, got going then lost a big pot early and never got a stack back, although I've found a couple of audacious bluffs while short, one that I'm still struggling to work out how it got through.  Was done purely out of desperation I think, here it is anyway

In the 4.40 Progressive, I'm a fan of these progressive KO tourneys they're probably my most played game on stars, setting myself up for a fall by having high expectations.....

Steady start, 1 bounty and average stack at first break.

Back on it tonight after a live'ament yesterday, two bullets in the 5.50 re entru but ITM now, long way to go yet though, hopefully, below average but OK, he says as he snap drops to half average.........
On a side note I'm smashing a little $1 plo8 comp, currently 1/106 of 315.  Great fun these :)

Down to the last 653 of a 22k field in this 5.50 six max re entry, only 11bb though so in need of a double up.  ITM in the plo8,  2/35, a massive $72 uptop in that, might have steak tonight!!

Title: Re: MicroMillions anyone?
Post by: pokerplayingfarmer on March 28, 2015, 01:18:24 AM
I'm running out of these to win quite quickly now.  sb completes I check QQ in bb like a boss and see an AKJ flop fml I peel a flop bet and fold when he doesnt slow down on the turn, thoughts on how bad that line was please!  Next hand I 3bet shove AKdd into the bb AA gg.  352nd for $37.

Not going so well so far, but its NL 5PLO8 so anything can happen, bit of a luckbox phase to get through, I've passed the non nut best hand a few times to stupid sized bets/calls but hey ho...
Approaching bubble with a few bounties in the $11 prog so might get something worthwhile out of the day yet :)

Must be a few punting today, I'm currently in the plo8 $3.30rb, going ok, going to give the storm a miss but will definitely in for the main.

Bust the plo8, 1st break with 15k in the main.  Field is huge and players soo much tighter in this.

Absolutely card dead, but 17k at 200/400, average is 16k so so far so good.

I've often thought of starting a diary, think I'd enjoy it tbh.  Might do soon, I've got a busyish couple of weeks work wise then a month or 2s lull before harvest so might get it going then.

Never played on FT, but just looked at the schedule and a nice HORSE event today to kick me off with I think!

Title: Re: MicroMillions anyone?
Post by: pokerplayingfarmer on April 21, 2015, 10:27:11 AM
Didn't get to play the horse, disappointed about that really I like horse comps.  Got myself in in time, shipped some $$ over from my stars account, (I had downloaded FT and synced a while ago but never got going on there).  I opened FT and waited for the update to install.  And waited, and waited. 40 minutes later it failed, tried again and failed again.  Got irritated by the wife looking over and asking "Thought you were playing from 7:30? What you doing?"  Ended up having to completely uninstall and reinstall this missing the 2 hour late reg by 10 minutes, sigh.

Not gone well. Unraised pot in sb, Flopped 2 pair fd and a poor low draw vs BB flopped wheel.  GG.  Could of passed river on another day, or every other day for that matter.  Levelled myself into the old 'he's in the bb he can't have it'. Schoolboy error I should know better!
