Title: While I'm at it with silly questions Post by: RED-DOG on March 29, 2015, 11:54:59 AM I'm trying to identify a famous piece of classical music. It sounds a bit like the Hamlet cigar one.
The first 7 notes are all the same length (about 2 seconds) and each note is one tone lower than the previous one, the next two notes go up the scale one tone each. I think the lead instrument is a cello with a piano accompaniment. He's played on a few albums of my favourite band (New Model Army) as well as touring with them back in the late 80s early 90s, and has done several solo albums. But you're more likely to see him busking in Chester or York than on stage these days. He made his own 5-string electric violin and it makes a fairly unique sound.
