Organising a 5-a-side tournament over the UKIPT week at DTD. (Tuesday 14th April, 1pm)

Teams will consist of a minimum of 5, maximum of 7 players and be held at Powerleague, 2 minutes from DTD.

Pitches are outside and are synthetic grass. (moulded boots or trainers allowed, no metal studs or blades)

Already got the ball rolling with a few teams confirmed, with more in the process of being put together.

Would be cool if Blonde could enter a team, or if any blonde members want to play, we have a list of people who are looking to be put together into a team.

Aiming for 8 teams, split into 2 leagues of 4, top 2 go through to semis, and then play out a final, 12 minute games. If we get less teams, we can make it one league, and possibly shorten the game lengths.

Cost per team is £40. This will cover pitch hire, drinks and some decent footballs to use. Event should take about an hour and a half. There will be 2 pitches for games, and another for waiting teams to warm up and have a kick about.

Aiming to get teams confirmed by next Tuesday. Anybody who doesnt fancy playing is welcome to come down and hurl abuse from the sidelines, or get involved refereeing, updating the leagues etc.

I can still take a decent free-kick or penalty but the running is a problem.

The smart money went on Broadway at 11/4, Mad Turk's son being the main drawer apparently...

But there's plenty of talent elsewhere...DTD have home advantage, we battled week in week out on those pitches. The Elwood brothers for newcastle are tipped for greatness, Kev and Richie Allen for LondonEssex also hold a similar threat. Tim Chung for Birmingham always talks up a big game...let's see if he's all mouth...

We've got some punter (Ludo) put a score on Europe at 25s, that should be interesting...they do have Matas Cimbolas who doesn't lose 25:1 shots too often I've heard...

No interest in the stragglers at 66s so far, surely Belton, TomSom, Boz and co are worth a pop at that value!

Everyone else has at least one bet. DTD have drifted from their 8/1 opening after Mitch let slip details of his latest exercise regime.

Plenty more action to be had, roll up!

Must admit even though I would want DTD to win both Allen and the last guys penalties definitely weren't 1 step penalties.
