I never even knew what a "selfie" was until quite recently. The word had a different meaning when I was a young man.

I don't see why - I'm going to New York in September, I'm hoping to not be in any of the photo's.

I already know what I look like, why would I need a photo with me in?

I assume that you also know what most of the New York landmarks look like, so I guess you won't be photographing any of those either?  ;)
