I'm not a specialist but I deal with a fair bit, and have people who can help if I can't.
Happy to try and assist although I may be a little biased on the employers side  ;)

Early days yet so to speak but want to be prepared. I have lost my job through illness at work, I used to carry a machine in my right hand ( I am left handed) instead of using a strap that was provided due to the strap causing back pain, never had a day off with back pain and adapted and overcome the situation by carrying it. I never once got told not to do this ( we have to have 2 ride outs per year by a manager ). I have now had surgery on my right elbow and have been permanently medically restricted. Not finding it easy to get another position.
