Title: Ducks in Muck?
Post by: shipitgood on April 15, 2015, 03:20:43 AM
4 Handed in a MTT (FT), Blinds 2k/4k

We have approx. 85-90k UTG

Button had 130k (chip leader).

SB and BB have approx 10 bigs.

The chip leader has been messin about a bit, putting pressure on us.

Plus with the 2 Shorties have a similar stack/ ideal shoving stack.

Too tight to fold pre?

I think I fold UTG is fine here.

Might be able to shove profitably here, worth looking at. If not def folding.

Yeah, maybe one of these clever ICM programs will show it is a profitable shove. But instinctively I doubt it. And min-raising sucks too. So I'd just fold.

If there were antes I would jam, without I will fold happily.

Forgot all about this hand.

It was a £55 bounty hunter, I ended up winning it for £750. 2nd got 525, 3rd 4th got about 270/280 (bounties)

It was really interesting, I just folded.

I discussed it with a friend afterwards who was saying it should be a min raise.

But given the big stack messin about/ 2 shorties felt id just fold it.

Really interesting some are saying jamming. I totally understand people saying this could be a profitable jam, but if in the off chance chip leader wakes up with a monster it would be a total disaster. I wouldn't have considered jamming this particular hand in this particular spot, when I posted was looking more at min raise/ fold.

There is no antis in play.

2 hands after this one I found a really awesome spot to get a double up through the chip leader.

Would definitely shove if there's antes
