The Patriots have been busy.

They hired a private jet to take them to see the Kentucky Derby, then flew onto Las Vegas for the fight.

england lose a topsy turvy 3rd test to draw the series 1-1, despite the efforts of jimmy anderson. looks like the end of international cricket for jonathon trott

The frame was so long, the players needed a comfort break.

Trott retires from Test Cricket.

All rather sad, I thought.

Shamelessly stolen from PP on FB but took the screen shot from Futbol24 after checking to see if it's genuine.  Check out the points total for each team!

2 escapees from the Premier League scored in the Juve - Real Madrid game last night, Tevez from a penalty, & Ronaldo with the easiest nod-in ever.

It is rumoured that another, Bale, also played.

8 years ago, on his 17th birthday, James Harris took 7 for 66. Clearly a precocious talent, he was immediately drafted into the ECB fast bowling academy.

Fearing that had failed, James spent all this winter & spring deconstructing all they had taught him, & went back to basics.

Yesterday, he took 9 for 34.

There's a moral there, somewhere.

Messi was a delight to watch last night.

If ever a footballer could be affected by wealth & fame, it's him, but he just goes out there, works his socks off, never stops running, fights to retrieve lost causes, & does not faff around with all this simulation bollox.

Doubt we'll ever see his like again, seems to be the complete package.

think it's fair to say that's been said about a lot of people. There's always someone coming round the mountain ;)

Tiger launched a dud that failed to reach the Ladies tee, & somehow double-bogeyed two par fives. Mentally, the man must be in agony these days, & I find it very sad to watch.

Take heart, Tiger, it went further than this shot, executed by world no 1, Rory.

Seen in context, I think Nigel Pearson's efforts at Leicester this season have been quite remarkable.

Schmeichel, who, it seems to me is a key component, missed 15 games, & I think they lost most of them, & they were certainly much better when he played.

Pearson had quite a season, what with being sacked, & then reinstated, & the brouhahas with the spectator, the reporter, & Pat Murphy.

He just seemed to keep a low profile, & concentrate on the job in hand.

Plum last in late February, they then went on a remarkable run.

It's possible he needs to work on his temperament, but I think the guy deserves considerable respect.
