Ok everyone lets try and win some money.

Been an incredibly tough last few months, where despite building good stacks in day 1 of live MTTs, I can't get that really deep run going. 

Have been working hard to address it with Run It Once, books, coaching from Marc Wright.  Vegas brings out the best in me though so I have high hopes.

This will be my 5th year at the WSOP.  I’m there for nearly 2 months in total, playing cash games and other tournies. 

Payment by the first event but I would prefer it ASAP.  Bank transfer please.

I just bought a load of USD at £1 - $1.51 so I’ll be using that rate here.  For returns it’ll be what I receive and obviously any big returns I’ll be shopping around to get the best rate for everyone.

I will always be prepared for these events; avoiding the queues and being regged early.  I will never late register, if I can avoid it.  There will be some times when there are clashes/day 2s.

While I will be playing other tournies outside the schedule, I won’t be taking the piss and regging for a Wynn $400 the day before one of these events. 

If I do miss a tournie from this list, I’ll look around for an suitable equivalent at the Rio/Venetian/PH/GN and advise the thread before hand.

I’ll also be playing the mega sats for the other big WSOP events (2.5k+), plus other things like the HPO at the M.  If i do play these events and sell for them, everyone here will have first refusal at 1.1.

If I do play the main event and sell for it (last year I just swapped), everyone here will have the option to buy the same piece at 1.2.

First break 15k from 7.5k starting.

9k at second break. Moved to a much better table so got some potential I think.  Haven't lost any big pots just lots of decent hands pre that brick flop and I can't do anything cos I'm 3/4 way.  I guess it's  1/200/25 now

Yeah it was. Got upto 25k on that table, it sadly broke but got moved to another decent one.

GG where I blew up in a nothing pot and ended up 3bet jamming a river with T high and got 5 min herotanked off by A high. In shock as my read was cast iron solid but somehow I got called off.

Will write the hand up when I'm back to the house.

Ok this is gonna sound like the most spew ever.

So got moved to another new table and this looked like a pretty tough one.  I'd lost a few small pots to go to about 25k at 2/400.

SB limps and I check BB with T4dc. 

Flop Q J 5 ccc, he checks I bet 600 and he calls.

Turn is an 8x he checks and I check.

River Jx he checks I bet 900 and he check raises to 5400, I jam 25k and he 5 min tanks off with A high.

My jam was partially based on a live read when he was originally tanking to raise.  He just looked awkward and nervous and i decided to go with it.

I also think that if he has a flush he woulda played it different, and I feel that QJ/88/55 all raise pre althought I do understand that BVB many will limp.  He could easily be value raising a Jx that I want to put under pressure and hence why when I jammed I went for my entrie stack of 25k rather than 3betting to 12k.

I think if I run into a hand that can call it will be J8 or J5 and even J5 just check calling flop BVB is unlikely.

Thought about this hand on the way home and even tho all of these things, my line doesn't make too much sense either as I don't not bet the turn with any 2pr/house or flushes.

A nothing pot that got totally out of control and I still have no idea how I'm on my bed typing out this HH rather than being at the Rio still with 30k+.

I snap left the Rio and forgot about the shootout tomorrow so not regged yet.  Maybe that's a good thing if I'm in the mind set to blow a 60bb stack in a limped BVB pot.  Will decide in the morning.

went to sleep really late last night and missed the shootout.  could late reg it but I think after the last hand that I played its not wise.  still can't figure out what on earth went on.  will just play some cash before Milly maker and play another WSOP 1500 with the Shootout money.

Horrible hand as we all know, you got vegased, inevitable that during 8 weeks of constant poker tournaments in that dessert pressure cooker there will be a blow or 2, you been here and done it in Vegas plenty Ryan you know the score, Vegas expectation and pressure on one shoulder and giddy excitement on the other ;-) Vegas isn't about not losing your head because no one is that good, it's about getting it back asap once you've lost it, you got very good mental game mate and you'll be back  flying in hours rather than days....

Just one of those thing, that's why ppl sell in the softest biggest field comps at 1.1 and not 1.9

Don't hesitate for a second skipping that comp if you feel you need a day, it's a marathon, not a sprint out there :-) (sorry for butting in as a non investor)

Ul Ryan, I barrelled every street with 10 4 diamonds after missing the flop with 2 callers, never even hit turn or river, but managed to win the pot with a chunky river bet, I guess sometimes it works.

Just played a few hours cash last night and was all ABC stuff.

Milly maker today. Only realised that it was at 10am when I was in bed reading twitter at 9.50 so will be a bit late. Apparently stacks aren't being blinded off so that's good news. Just leaving now so will be joining just as level 2 starts.

14k from 7.5 at first break

Lost a few small ones to go to 9.5k at 100/200

Open Q8dd UTG2 to 500,  young girl in CO calls and old guy in SB calls.

Flop JdTh3c.  As the flop is down the old guy leans forward and looks interested so I don't cbet here.  I think with an over/gutshot and BDFD a cbet is fine.  SB checks, I check and girl checks.

Turn is 9h.  SB checks and I bet 1.1.  Girl raises to 3k.  She can have TT/99/33/78s/8xhh and obv I'm only beat by KQ. She has me covered and with 7k back I jam as I don't think she ever has any airballs and there are so many rivers that are horrible for both my hand and hers that I think it's the only option.

She has KQ.

Just under 40 at 2/400/50

Well I had 40k at start of level 7 200/400 and had 0 by the midway thru level 8 250/500.  Only 1 hand where I am unsure about.

So get back to 400bb and call off a 3k BTN shove from the BB with Q8s.  They have AJ and hold.

An orbit later a decent young guy mins the BTN out of 15bb.  I am in the SB with A7s.  The BB has 12bb. I decide to jam.  BTN has 88 and holds. Def a case for just peeling but think with stacks its standard.

This is the real fun/gutting one.  I go to 900 with AQ in MP.  Get 2 peels.  The BTN goes to 4k.  He is someone who I have owned from hand 1 and must be 9-0 in pots v him, was a young kid in a Run It Up hoody. He started the hand with 12k so he has 8k back.  I put him in.  He snap calls off with 96hh so clearly he couldn't take no more and just snapped and decided to punt his last 20bb.  J659T board.  

I was down to 20k or so after those.

I overlimp KTcc in MP after an UTG limp and a couple more come along so we go 5 way.  Flop J84ccx checked to me I bet 1k into 3k and the UTG is the only caller.  7c turn so we have the 2nd nuts.  He leads 2.5k with 8k back.  I just call.  River brick he jams we snap he has 44.

Take out another shortie so get back to just above 40k

This is the hand I'm unsure about.

I open 33 UTG to 1.1k and get 1 caller.  Some youngish guy who is a 'rungood gear pro'.  Flop 966r I cbet 1.5k he calls.  Turn J I bet 3.1k he calls.  River J so now I'm playing the board.  Decide to continue with a very strong line, don't think he has many 6x in his range so it is mainly gonna be 77/88/TT/9x.  I bet 9.2k leaving him with 8k behind.  He tank calls it off with A9.  Not sure I like his call v my triple barreling range but whatever.  We are back to 25ish.

2 hands later there are 2 limps and the young good reg goes to 2k out of 15k/30bb from the BTN.  I look down at a very nice AQhh from the SB and go to 4.4k which I think in this spot will induce so many hands.  He does go all in and I snap.  He has AK.  Flop K93hhx but we miss.  We have 10-12k left.

Very next hand the run good gear pro opens to 1.1k and I peel BTN with just over 20bb with KJhh.  Flop K29ddh.  He cbets 1.2k and we call.  Turn Qh so now we have top pair/FD/gutshot.  He bets 2.6k and we jam 8/9 total.  He snaps with KQ and we don't hit any of our outs.

Was a roller coaster 2 hours.  Owned by table so hard all day, as evidenced by the AQ v 96hh hand, and feel the only bad hand is the triple barrel with the 33 but even then I'm still ok with it.

Hope that people are okay with the hands and feel free to give any feedback.  Next one on the list is the 1,5k Monster next week.

18k from 15k starting at first break.

After the break we open QQ UTG to 450.  Get a BTN call and we go HU.

Flop JJ8ddx I bet 650 he calls.

Turn 3x I bet 1100 he calls.

River 6x and I check (diamonds missed, straight draws miss and he may value bet some worse hands himself).  He bets 1500 we call he has 88.

UTG opens 325 get 4 calls and we call with 77 from the BB.

Flop Q45xxc and it checks round.

Turn 7c and SB leads 1100 we just call.  Could maybe raise here as the board is very draw heavy but I'm happy to flat here, allow someone to raise behind plus we have position on the river to the SB.  Everyone else folds.

River Kx SB leads 3k we call he has 68hh so we lose. I did think about raising but we only get called by 44/55, all his 2 pairs will likely fold and also the SB was pretty solid. I did presume that any value hand would check to me on the river as every single draw missed.

Open JTdd in MP to 500 at 1/200.  Older guy who was pretty punty (saw him get in TT twice pre for 100bb in level 2 and hold v AKs and also got in 88 on a 569ddx and hold v 47dd) kind of pauses then eventually calls.  BB comes along too.

Flop JJ6ssx I bet 1k and older guy goes to 2.5k  BB folds.  I have 8.5k total back.  I decided to just flat but I think I made a mistake as any FD he just goes with, any decent mid pair he also goes with based on previous hands.

Turn 8x I check he bets 5k and I jam my 7k total.  He calls with AJ and we dont find any help on the river.

Getting really annoying now guys. I believe the next event is in 3 days.

Major damage was done in level 2 where we got in QQ v AK for 35bb and lost.

I skipped the shootout so we have 1500 to still play with.

I'm thinking of the 1100 Venetian 1m GTD 1c tomorrow, and then either the 565 WPT Aria or one of the 565 Golden Nuggets.

Turn T he snap checks I check back

2 river he bets 5k witn 10k behind see no point in raising as I feel will only get called by a house plus semi concerned given ybe action too.

He does have QQ. 26k at 1/200/25

5.6k at 150/300. On the bright side most people would be out so it's free equity.

So after the AK hand that I brick a few opens/peels and go down to 23k.

At 300bb I ISO QJcc over 3 limps from the BTN to 1.5k . They all call.  Flop J22ssc they check to me, I cbet 2.5k we get a jam of 10k and a rejam of 30k.  I fold.  86ss and AJ and AJ holds.

Get back upto 25k without showdown.  Limp UTG and I ISO AK to 900.  BB calls and UTG calls.  Flop KQ2ccx.  They both check call my 1.9k bet.  Turn 9c.  We check thru.  River 9x.  BB donks 2k, UTG mins to 4k.  I fold obv.  BB calls with KJ.  UTG has Ac9s.  After the hand he said that he thought he had A9cc hence why he called flop.

UTG (guy from the AK/QQ hand in the earlier post) opens to 900.  I peel AQss.  BB peels.  Flop Q72r. UTG cbets 1.5k I call BB calls.  Turn 3c bringing a club FD. UTG leads 3k we snap fold.  BB calls.  River 4c BB checks UTG bets 5k BB calls.  BB KQ.  UTG AA.

UTG limps we ISO to 1k with 88.  MP 3bets to 2.1.  UTG folds and we peel with 13k behind.  Flop A85r.  I check he bets 1.1k.  I considered raising but feel that I fold out all his bluffs, he'd also expect me to peel very wide to this sizing so he can double barrel wide plus if he does have Ax then he bets most turns anyway. Turn is Th bringing a heart FD.  Check check.  River 7h.  I donk 5k he calls.  He has TT.

Next hand we open AKss get 4 calls flop 874ddh.

Folded 2/3 orbits and we were down to 3.7k at 200/400/50 with 5 mins to go before the break/blinds upto 300/600.  UTG limps and we jam ATo.  BB calls.  UTG calls so looking to treble up here and go to 20bb for the next level.

Flop KKTssx.  Check check.  5s turn check check.  9s river.  BB didn't show.  UTG did however show his As9h.

Gutted by this one. Was the softest table I've had this year.  So many limps and in general silly stuff going on, especially after I started so well and double up fairly early.

Couple of days off then extended level on Saturday.

Luck just turns.  Couldn't win a 70/30 in Vegas.  Come back every horse I backed at Ascot pretty much wins, everything I ducked seemed to lose.  No reason for it, I wasn't an idiot last week and a genius this.  I still have a lot of faith in your game and it really is better to save all the run good for just the one comp anyway.

3k. Bet flop turn and river on a T64ddx6xKx and got called by 99. I had A2dd.

Yeah so only played a few hands in the first level.  Going from 7.5 to 6.5 with nothing much happening bar seeing the odd flop and folding.

First and only hand of significance I play is...

UTG opens they get 4 calls I peel A2dd on the BTN and SB comes along too.

T64ddx they check to me I bet 600.  Lady who peeled in MP takes a 30 seconds and calls.

Turn 6x. She checks.  I feel I should just check and see a river here as its not gonna be a card she folds to often but I bet 900.  Again she takes a while and calls.

Kx river.  She checks and I bet 1800.  Pretty much snaps me off with 99.

I ISO KJdd over an UTG limp to 300.  QT2dxx flop. He check calls 350. 

8d turn and he leads 650.  I only have 2.3k back and can't see him lead folding ever so just call with a tonne of nut river cards for us.

River is 8s and we fold to his 900 river bet.

Couple of orbits of just folding.  MP open to 250 from a fairly active guy.  I jam 1250 total with KQdd.  He calls A9cc.  782ccx flop and 6c turn.

Was meant to play the 1.5k today but got very little sleep last night plus my housemates had a very, very heavy night at EDC so I have to be at the house for a couple of things for the next few hours as they are gonna be dead to the world today!

K turn I bet 3k he calls. Should have gone bigger here.

River is the nut worst card as it is a 3 making the board K93K3.  I check fold to a 5k bet.

Had AKcc next hand but had to fold as after I just cold peeled a 3 bet the other guys went for a 4 and a 5.

13k from 20 start.

That was some horrible river, Ryan.

Went down to 36k by losing a few stabdard hands.

I open A9s in MP. Guy who has just joined the table calls out of 22k. It gets to the BB who has just lost a pot and is down to 8bb. Also from previous hands when he gets short he doesn't care (saw him cold call an all in with JT as 14bb was a bowl to him).

BB goes in as expected. Guy who had just joined hadn't any of this info so I decided it was an all in.

He tanks and calls with TT.  BB had A3. J78 flop and don't improve.

Fold for an orbit then there's a limp UTG. MP ISO 2.2k, BTN and CO call. We find AhKo in the BB on 14k so easy jam.

MP OR had AA. QJ5hhx flop and a heart turn but no good.

Ugh, unlucky mate.

Jammed 33 UTG2 with 12bb and ran into KK.

Don't think it's ever a terrible jam, certain it's making money, but maybe situationally it's better to fold and wait for a better spot in the next orbit or so. Think in these going down to 9bb is ok so should wait it out for the next 15 hands.

WSOP 777 today. Another huge field.

Played 2 hands. Bust 5 mins before the first break.

Exit hand was AQhh all in on a J99hhx flop v KJ, where we 3bet pre and check jam flop and we don't improve.

The way you have held yourself together in this onslaught of bad run is a credit to you Ryan. Love the way you don't demean other even though you are running awfully.

You may not be showing it, but it must sting a bit.  

Reserve a few % for me of whatever you sell next, please. Reckon we'll get the lot.

$600 venetian with $200 bounties instead. Sat down at the 2nd level 75/150 with 15k and its a 1 day event.

Just took out a shortie for a $200 bounty.

Only a month in for the first returns.

Taken another bounty in a big 3 way pot. ATss all in v KQo and 35dd on a AT3ddx.

35k at 4/800. We have three bounties so we are freerolling the comp.

We bust at the 8/1600 level with 45 left from 200 runners.

CO opens 3.5k, we jam 28k with red AA. SB rejams with black 99

We did make a profit as we took 4 bounties so got $800 back from the $600BI.

WSOP should run a 'repechage' type event. $2k buyin or similar, day 1s coincide with 1B/1C of main with a turbo 2A (main) before consolidated day two of repechage all in one flight.
