Title: Interesting Day 1 GP Spot Post by: rylanclarke on May 18, 2015, 11:30:22 AM 1st Hand ever posted so go easy on me. The days been very straightforward until .....
Level 17... We've just joined the table and are yet to put a chip in the pot and we have no information about other players. We join the cut off (Seat 1) We have 550k and cover all Blinds are 5k/10k Ante 1k Seat 5 400k ish opens to 25k Seat 7 Insta Jams for 240k We look down and see the Ac squeeeeeze hard and find the Kd behind it. What do we do ? 1) Wager all of our betting discs and and hope for a race for a 1.2 million stack for day 2 ? - seat 5 folds and we are punting half our stack ? - seat 5 calls and its a biggie we are left with a bowl if we lose ? 2) Fold ? I dont think either are bad im just interested in others views 3) Call, not even an option Other things to consider. Golden chip is in play. We have a further 2 seats to play with in the next week. Thanks Title: Re: Interesting Day 1 GP Spot Post by: mulhuzz on May 18, 2015, 11:46:41 AM thnk rejam and don't even think it's very close.
it's great news if V1 folds 99 or something. Title: Re: Interesting Day 1 GP Spot Post by: UgotNuts on May 18, 2015, 12:50:16 PM Folding would be really bad. Would you fold this if its the first level of day 2? Could the shove be shoving with AQ, Sure.
With two seats in reserve too just makes it almost a fist pump shove IMO. Title: Re: Interesting Day 1 GP Spot Post by: rylanclarke on May 18, 2015, 01:05:18 PM I'm surprised this isn't considered to be a closer decision.
How wide is our re-jam range then ? AK off is surely as wide as we would ever go .... AK off is surely as wide as we would ever go .... well, stack depth means we are never calling, I think. Like are we ever going to call 25bb and then fold another 15 if shoved on by V1? No. Obviously you're not completely loving life if it goes three ways since V1 calling range is necessarily tight (and we have two blockers to it), but so so so often you rejam, V1 folds. Think about V2 3b jam range and AK just plays so good versus it. I don't know how wide I rejam here as it depends on any live reads we might have. With the info you have it's probably close to the widest? On the info I'm prolly going 99+ and AKo and maybe AQs. edit: I'm not very good though so there's that.. Title: Re: Interesting Day 1 GP Spot Post by: George2Loose on May 18, 2015, 01:45:39 PM Really easy decision. We are basically ahead of both ranges and when u consider the time of the tournament (lots of short/medium stacks gambling) then this is a mandatory re shove.

With reads maybe wider. 99 feels close Title: Re: Interesting Day 1 GP Spot Post by: rylanclarke on May 18, 2015, 02:23:04 PM Looks like my fold was a clear mistake then. I really thought this was much, much closer.
I took a while for me to fold, well over a minute. Is it obvious that the longer i take the weaker my hand looks which in turn increases the likelihood of V1 getting involved ? As it turned out the hands were V1 Ahrt Kh V2 Qh Ks Board runs out 10 high with 4 CLUBS ON IT !!!!!! We pick up one or 2 more pots and make day 2 with over 600k Title: Re: Interesting Day 1 GP Spot Post by: WotRTheChances on May 18, 2015, 05:24:49 PM Pretty happy about putting in AKo
AQs and TT/JJ would both suck Readless, I think i'd just go AK, JJ+. Any reason to think the guy could be rejamming a little wider than normal i'd maybe go AQs+ TT+ Title: Re: Interesting Day 1 GP Spot Post by: arbboy on May 18, 2015, 06:25:00 PM How old is seat 7?
