Title: We love them. We say we don't, but we do really.......

Profits up 67%

11% MORE passengers.

On average, seat capacity in the period was 88%, up from 83%.

One of the youngest fleets of aircraft of any airline in the world.

More cash than it knows what to do with, over €1 billion at bank. Will double that if it sells its stake in Aer Lingus to IAG.

Profits up 67% after they relaunched with an emphasis on customer service.

Obviously any big marketing push is going to have an effect - but given how much of an effect this change of direction has had, is it really that obvious that he was a commercial success for making so much money for Ryanair before? i.e. if they'd operated as they are now from the start - couldn't they have been making more money all this time, just by being cheaper than the competitors but not to the point where there customer service suffered?

Nobody wants to give the Great Man any credit, even now.

The Business was losing money hand over fist when he was invited to run it by Tony Ryan. Michael then spent 6 months at Southwest Airlines, learning the business model, & the rest is history.

I'm a fan. Always have been. Use them probably 10 times a year. Follow their rules and you won't have a problem.

I used them a bit when I used to travel more, especially when I was going to Ireland more frequently, and never had any problems.

Yeah, it's not Virgin, but as long as you pay attention when booking, you're not going to get into any bother.
