shouldn't be surprised by anything anymore, but steve cotterill being backed into 2/1 is up there in the surprise stakes!

as for NP, i thought he had survived his son's behaviour but apparently it was the final straw for the owners who were embarrassed at the loss of face in their own country

its odd at times at leicester, you see buddhist monks trawling the areas behind the executive boes on match days and they sit in the players lounge after the game!

however, having spent £130m and rising, the thais call their shots. its their ball. would be a couple of divisions lower without them

bit harsh for the dad to be sacked because of the son's behaviour though but i expect he was walking on eggshells after last season's touchline and Press conference embarrassments so it provided an excuse

yes, certainly more off-field events made the position tentative, at best, but does seem strange to do it now, and not after the event abroad; if indeed that was the final straw.

Wonders on the field - good manager to have?
Awful persona off it -enough to put clubs off him?

it is just after the events abroad, the internal probe only ended 10 days or so ago

the son was cleared of racism by that probe but (rightly, most would agree) sacked for gross misconduct anyway along with the other two (who were found guilty of racism)

NP didn't apologise for the three and indeed made no public comment. who knows what difficulties he was in at home versus at work, and whether he tried to take the case for his son againast the board. don't know

as for the future, convinced he will be in heavily in demand especially by championship clubs

his PR certainly needs work of course
