I think we have enough boats in our range to fold here, our opponent seems good, has been seen to flat AsTd on KT2sJsK to a river bet and played pretty well throughout. I have been caught bluffing on the river by him for a 1.5x bet, and have been pretty agressive post flop but no real spots like this I don't think. Our opponent didn't reach showdown a lot. His bvb strat seemed reggy and I presumed so but didnt have the table count to search him and was happy with my reads. Title: Re: Kinda weird spot, could be an easy decision. Or a HU SNG or? A little context be nice At first glance though Vill has an awful lot of Tx, seems like an ideal hand to raise/fold with Title: Re: Kinda weird spot, could be an easy decision. Title: Re: Kinda weird spot, could be an easy decision. Post by: The Camel on July 09, 2015, 03:59:48 PM I'm definitely not folding with 40bbs.
100+ I might be able to find the fold button. In this spot I don't think I can. Title: Re: Kinda weird spot, could be an easy decision. Post by: PathFinder on July 09, 2015, 04:12:31 PM Pretty yucky spot. Might play out differently if we barrel the turn. River re-raise size seems good. I don't think we have 10x in our range with this line which villian might be trying to exploit. 10 8 and pocket 8s are realistic full houses for villian.
Is it too weak to just call river bet? Not sure if villian calls river raise with a bare 10 and would have to assume weak kicker due to pre flop action. How quick did villian move all in? Title: Re: Kinda weird spot, could be an easy decision. Post by: pleno1 on July 09, 2015, 04:17:55 PM Would triple barrel this hand, especially with a heart.
It doesn't make sense to me that you think folding is ok because you have lots of full houses. But if you have lots of full houses checking this hand on the turn wouldn't make sense (checking full houses is because you assume he overfolds turn exploitatively so surely we absolutely must exploitatiely (very possibly is theory optimal too) to bet. Title: Re: Kinda weird spot, could be an easy decision. Post by: rfgqqabc on July 09, 2015, 04:26:53 PM He moved in relatively quickly, 5-8 seconds I'd say. We have a good hand and an aggro image, I think we have to raise. There is a chance he has T7, but i do imagine its somewhat unlikely given how drawy the flop is.
I expected more success checking back the turn and bluffing the scary river cards instead of going for a triple. I don't expect him to fold much at all he has called the flop with, I think all 7x/draws continue, but maybe barreling off is better. I do think I would have kept betting on a decent number of turn/rivers but a T didn't seem great. I'm not saying I have a lot of houses, but I think I have some, and that is enough to make raise/folding this hand fine. I'm aware I make some exploitable decisions in this hand which might be a mistake. Title: Re: Kinda weird spot, could be an easy decision. You get to the turn with way too many attractive turn barrels and because he decided to c/c flop his range is still relatively weak that continue betting here (and betting rivers) is going to very profitable. People will also fold a lot of off suit tens pre but you have them all. You have all full houses on turn and he will very likely not get here with many/any full houses If he doesn't fold much at all from what he peeled flop with then he will be making pretty big error. He should have all king highs with bdfd, a lot of other mc. 86, 89, j9, j8, alms or every single combination of heartland whilst we have a lot of these hands beat with j9 its way better to 1)bluff him off his equity and 2) not allow him to bluff you on the river. By the time you get to the river (no ace highs, little tx+ in your perceived range) he will have a very easy bluff with ALl of his missed draws and I assume we won't bluff raise this hand on any river so unless the river is j/9/8 ( he very likely has reverse blockers to these rivers anyway) he wins. I think it's very easy turn bet |
