It's a good story about not giving up, but I don't think it's necessarily a good thing to do something that hurts so much and you don't enjoy. If it started off saying she was an unlikely triathlete and ended up loving it then I'd think it was a bit more inspiring than saying she thought it was going to be pretty bad - and it was.
