Title: perseid meteor shower (of shite in london)
Post by: bagel on August 12, 2015, 11:04:17 PM
this peaks tonight and tomorrow night.

just been over to bushy park (sw london). waste of time too many clouds. last year saw shooting stars all over the shop.

if you have a clear sky where you are , get outside and have a ganders.

cosmic.

Supposed to be extra good this year. We have a clear-ish sky tonight but no sign yet.

Read this thread, stuck my head out the door and saw two in quick succession.
Got my daughter up,  garden chairs and blankets out and saw nada.
Not a thing in thirty minutes.
I'll have to try again tomorrow.

Crossed my mind also  rotflmfao

Although a quick google a few mins ago says just lie back on the floor or on a sun chair with a wide view and you should be covered.

Is it visible everywhere at these times?

I'm guessing you have to look in the correct direction.

It's usually NE from Nottingham.

I know this because my balcony faces due South :(
