Title: FT Chipleader Post by: shipitgood on August 31, 2015, 05:22:41 PM I've masked my hole cards, thoughts on this line with a value/ bluff hand?
We are chip leader on the FT, villain is 2nd or 3rd in chips. Blinds 4k/8k. We have 360k , villain has 240k. He is quite tight generally. I'm quite surpsied when he calls pre. WE are in the SB with XX Villain opens button to 16k we raise to 35k. It is tad to small I guess. BB Folds, Button Calls. Pot is 86K, villian has 217k behind. Flop: 3d 7c Jh We bet 32k, he calls. Pot 150k Tc We bet 56k, villian has 185k behind. He folds. If villian calls, he is looking super strong. If we have a value hand of course we are going to set him in for the rest of his chips otr. If we have a bluff, you reckon its ok to jam the river? Title: Re: FT Chipleader Post by: rfgqqabc on August 31, 2015, 05:34:36 PM He would jam a lot of his hands that beat aces ott I'd guess as there are several awkward rivers. J89q all bad, a/k/t fairly shoddy too.
It's too dependent on the river to say whether I'd jam. I'd be trying to increase my fold equity by putting more pressure on him. Villain should fold a tiny % to this 3 bet size. I think I'd 3bet to 44k with my entire range, maybe varying it a bit depending on how much balance I think I need if vs regs or something like that. I'd bet fairly small on this flop, probably 32k or so. We can then jam turns if needed for a bit over a psb and have lots of fe depending on the cards. I'd 3bet even bigger in a tourney with antes, force them to play push/fold which is so scary 2nd vs 1st.
