Probably somebody up to no good and not genuine guests. Title: Re: Users online. Post by: tikay on September 03, 2015, 09:12:48 AM That's bizarre. Maybe we are about to suffer a DDOS, I really don't know what's going off there. If we disappear shortly, we'll know why. We were DDOS'd last month, actually. The IP address of most of them is...... 93.171.236.236 (the last 3 digits vary). Not wholly sure how IP Addresses work, but I looked those up in "IP Location", & they appear to be from Prague. Title: Re: Users online. Post by: tikay on September 03, 2015, 09:35:34 AM It's fallen from a peak of 4,999 earlier this morning to 3,650 now. blonde must have been too boring. The buggers never started a single thread between them. Title: Re: Users online. Post by: BorntoBubble on September 03, 2015, 10:14:34 AM Its a good job Red Dog made three to make up for it!
Title: Re: Users online. Post by: Longines on September 03, 2015, 10:29:47 AM Hi Tony, was good to meet you again yesterday. Think I managed to be the first faller in the comp, ran into Terry and his missing fold button.
https://who.is/whois-ip/ip-address/93.171.236.236 Looks to be coming from a WiFi network in a small Czech town. If you send an email to abuse@alfatelecom.cz with the DDOS logs they might do something about it. Title: Re: Users online. Post by: tikay on September 03, 2015, 10:32:00 AM 760 Guests now, so I guess we survived. Title: Re: Users online. Terry - Terry Jordan - is something else. I've shared tables with him in my last 3 MTT's in the UK, & have yet to see him fold a hand pre-flop. He busted me in 2 of those, but not last night. With 10 left last night, he was to my immediate left, & had 650,000 chips - one third of the chips in play. I had planned to use him to double up or bust, but some bad timing & what looked a good spot intervened. He's huge fun to play against, & I want him on my table every comp. Thanks for the info on that IP. Title: Re: Users online. Post by: Tal on September 03, 2015, 10:57:43 AM Hi Tony, was good to meet you again yesterday. Post by: tikay on September 03, 2015, 11:11:05 AM Ha, "River" Jordan. He really is fun to play against. Ain't no software ever gonna stop Terry playing every hand. He turned up with THE most peculiar hands, but he just kept hitting. He's totally face up, too. Title: Re: Users online. Post by: mulhuzz on September 04, 2015, 12:17:49 AM That's bizarre. You did briefly cross my mind, if only because I don't know anyone else who lives there. That made you, by process of elimination, the only suspect, obv. |
