Title: Peter Kay's Accent in 'Cradle to Grave' Post by: mulhuzz on September 09, 2015, 12:21:45 AM how the hell was that allowed to be broadcast? I watched it mute with subtitles after the first 10 words from his mouth.
very surprised at Danny Baker - who i assume had a lot of editorial control given he wrote the series and it's based on his book/life - for allowing that as a 'South London' accent. As the native speaker of an accent that is very often absolutely brutalised by impersonations/impressions I'm used to hearing shit accents. But that was something else. If you haven't seen it, here you go (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0695zz9/cradle-to-grave-episode-1) or here...
