We had a 2/2 nlh cash game. The chips on the table were 2s 10s and 50s all ofc in euros. I spend more time working out how much and player had bet and how much he had left in his stack than on working out what his cards were. I remember the 1/3 games in the Wynn used to play with $3 chips. Anyone else seen anything strange like this on their travels? Was really odd, slowed the game down and actually played really nitty. Eventually it died and now they just play 1/1. :(
My favourite is the 9/18 Limit Holdem game at Commerce, California. You just use $3 chips. So everytime you win a pot - all of these go multiple way with action on every street - you win a mountain of chips. It is fun to stack them! The mirage had 3/6 limit with blinds 1/3 I think and the split pot games were 6/12 I think. It's a deepstack though with a 2k starting stack.
