Title: Baffled Post by: TightEnd on February 01, 2006, 01:48:53 AM What the hell could he have to call on the end?

or KJ Title: Re: Baffled Post by: KeithyB on February 01, 2006, 05:24:53 PM Yep I think Ironside’s KQs suggestion is very likely judging by the way Humanrake just called, called, called here!
My only other thought was maybe he had JJ, and put Tightend on the fourth Jack . He’d consider putting him on an ace but this would get less and less likely as each subsequent one appeared on the board! Plus JJ is also ahead until the river against an Ace as well (except A5 or AJ ). So he may figure he’s calling on river for a split pot (vs J ) or just think it’s only a 44 call to win 270 so why not! I think the call on the turn is interesting too. If Humanrake only has the big flush draw then I don’t think he’s getting odds to call here especially when you discount the cards that could make his flush yet could also improve Tightend to a full house ( or four of a kind of course!! :D ). Humanrake surely has to seriously consider Tightend as having an Ace after three raises! The realistic chance of a full house being the eventual top hand ,coupled with the fact that even after his post flop call HR isn’t really over committed to the hand, means he should/would lay it down here. Humanrake having JJ would fit his call on the turn although I’m not sure he would have played JJ so passively either pre or post flop though? Whatever hand he had though, the call on the river still looks a poor one! |
