Title: The Arc & Abbaye Post by: tikay on October 02, 2015, 09:52:50 AM One of Flat Racing's great highlights is this Sunday, The Arc, & supporting card, including the Abbaye. Treve is going for a three-timer, several horses including Ribot & Alleged have won it twice, no horse has won it three times. The Arc https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prix_de_l%27Arc_de_Triomphe Treve is currently evens in a few spots. http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing/ante-post-racing/international/prix-de-larc-de-triomphe/winner (http://cache1.asset-cache.net/gc/456686788-thierry-jarnet-riding-treve-wins-the-qatar-gettyimages.jpg?v=1&c=IWSAsset&k=2&d=GkZZ8bf5zL1ZiijUmxa7QQ%2FfbrUmQ0QXIM2%2BOMGlDok9jL4vIaGbe6oeo9ppNxtN) The Abbaye Great race this, which so often throws up a British or Irish winner, with the amazing "Lochsong" wining it in consecutive renewals a few years back with Frankie up top. Sole Power can be backed at 6/1. http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing/ante-post-racing/international/prix-de-labbaye/winner https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prix_de_l%27Abbaye_de_Longchamp (http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/75137000/jpg/_75137098_lochsong3_getty.jpg) Title: Re: The Arc & Abbaye Post by: tikay on October 02, 2015, 09:54:18 AM Anyone got any fancies for The Arc & Abbaye? Name your fancy for both, & Marky will probably back them in an each way double. Title: Re: The Arc & Abbaye Post by: Doobs on October 02, 2015, 10:30:05 AM The draw should be out soon? Arc looks a good each way race. Will probably be picking Flintshire if the draw isn't terrible.
Title: Re: The Arc & Abbaye Post by: nellberg on October 02, 2015, 11:15:34 AM Cirrus Des Aigles 7/2 for the Prix Dollar during the Arc weekend could be a bet, loves the race (3 wins and "first past the post" last year before being chucked back to 5th for interference). Been in ropey form since his reappearance win this season but had an injury hold up in the summer, so the Irish Champion could have been a pipe-opener. Bit of rain (ok, a deluge!) would obviously help his case. Hoping history is made with Treve on Sunday, will be cheering her on with no financial involvement though.
Title: Re: The Arc & Abbaye Post by: Doobs on October 02, 2015, 11:18:26 AM The weather forecast is dry. The ground should be good by Sunday
Title: Re: The Arc & Abbaye Post by: horseplayer on October 02, 2015, 11:32:11 AM The draw very much not an issue on good or better ground
Just hope treve wins and I get to watch it. Cirrus beating that mob would be even better the old boy Title: Re: The Arc & Abbaye Post by: Doobs on October 02, 2015, 11:35:32 AM 1 11 Flintshire

Love to see Treve win especially with the back story of no one wanting to buy her early on in her life. Couple of fun bets for me, Took advantage of a special offer from 888 of a no lose bet so have gone for Free Eagle and on Found with Sky 4places. Good luck, should be a great race.
