Title: Withering Heights
Post by: TightEnd on October 03, 2015, 12:57:04 PM
I saw this yesterday

Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon glass bottom bridge: World's highest see-through skywalk gives views from 300m up,stretching 430 metres.

The spectacular six-metre wide platform spans two cliffs in Zhangjiajie, a breathtaking national park located in the country's Hunan province.

i felt queasy just looking at the images.

when i was younger heights never affected me. Now, in middle age, i don't like being on top of a cliff, top storey of a car park, high up anywhere really.

why would that be?

I'll do most things, but no way that or anything to do with big heights...

Not sure I could do that one.

We did the tower bridge one in the summer.  You can walk round the glass bits if you don't fancy it.  Was a bit pricey (£9?), but the kids loved it (think they were half price).

Heights don't bother me. Once you get above about 30ft it makes no difference anyway.

Confined spaces scare me to death though.

According to thee South China Morning Post, officials said the cracks were caused by tourists who had dropped a thermos flask on the glass.

Just how big was this thermos flask, then?
