I met this lady a couple of years ago and I've just stumbled across this video.

Some of you might find it interesting.

I opened the thread, saw the screen and the hairs on my arms just stood to attention. No matter how many things I watch and read about the atrocities it never ceases to shock me.

I'll get to watch it at a later date Tom. In 5 mins Gracie will be here and being the tornado she is, this Grandad will not have a minute to spare.

I'll have a watch of it later this evening, Tom.

Thought I'd watch a couple of minutes of it last night before I went to bed.

Got to bed 47 minutes later.....

Simply incredible.

I haven't watched any programmes about the holocaust in a very long while. I remember being so disturbed by the images when I was young that I kinda decided, I'm aware of this now and, although it massively informs my perspective on a lot of things, I don't need to see any more.

Also remember being shocked that as a teenager in the mid-70s this all happened just 30 years prior. Even now it's shocking to think it's just 70 years ago, unimaginable really.

Older documentaries tended to be very bleak and in a talking heads style with short pieces from lots of victims as well as guards and so on.

It was humbling to hear the story told in such a matter of fact way by this woman with her amazingly strong character and spirit

I'm glad I watched it
