Title: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Ironside on February 01, 2006, 07:56:01 PM this coming tuesday the 7th of febuary will see us restarting the Blonde Online poker Comps
with some sites needing money in accounts to for people to talk at tables they werent playing on we have looked elsewhere for more comps where the blonde cheerleading squad can come out on full force i do beleive that monty "elblondie" burns himself will be playing on tuesday so stand by for further details as soon as i can announce them Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Graham C on February 01, 2006, 08:17:07 PM nice :)
are they going to be cheap? Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Ironside on February 01, 2006, 08:17:52 PM of course they will be cheap never more than £20 or $30 and many much cheaper
Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Trace on February 01, 2006, 08:29:01 PM ooops too expensive for me
Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Colchester Kev on February 01, 2006, 08:30:28 PM I think we should have a couple of £2 or £5 comps... after all its the bragging rights that count, not the money.
Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: bolt pp on February 01, 2006, 08:42:12 PM Why have will hill disabled there observer chat?
At first there was a requisit monetary amount needed to be in your account, but now it seems they've disabled it all together. Do you have private comps on will hill anymore? Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Ironside on February 01, 2006, 08:43:56 PM we havent had a private comp on Hills yet
we used to run them over the whole crypto network we will have more smaller comps Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Scottish Dave on February 01, 2006, 08:44:50 PM Why have will hill disabled there observer chat? At first there was a requisit monetary amount needed to be in your account, but now it seems they've disabled it all together. Do you have private comps on will hill anymore? i think you need $1000 (£567) to chat at any table as an observer. i take it by what Iron said, we are going to move them to another site, hopefully stars, its my new home lol Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Dewi_cool on February 01, 2006, 08:47:18 PM Dave, the chat does not work on hills irrespective of how much you have in your account, I think some of the other crypto sites do allow chat though
Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Ironside on February 01, 2006, 08:47:31 PM the idea will be to move to different sites so we can all get experinace on a site in a friendly group
if the site can offer us private comps thru a password then we will try and hold a comp there Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Poppet7 on February 01, 2006, 08:49:07 PM Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Trace on February 01, 2006, 08:50:14 PM Why have will hill disabled there observer chat? One thing that came to my attention during Tank's Blonde tournies was the amount of scroungers you get on tables. Doyle's on Tribeca have introduced money transfer too now, and scroungers have started appearing in the lobby/welcome page there too. What a bloody nightmare! P.S. Iron I blew that $11 you lent me btw sorry. Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Sark79 on February 01, 2006, 08:51:04 PM This sounds good. I vote for Pokerstars as well.
The success of the Sunday comp has shown it is a popular site But ultimately it is up to the experienced members on blonde to decide. Or should I say the people actually running the thing. Good luck Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Graham C on February 01, 2006, 08:51:59 PM I think we should have a couple of £2 or £5 comps... after all its the bragging rights that count, not the money. :o how much :o of course they will be cheap never more than £20 or $30 and many much cheaper ;iagree; Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: thetank on February 01, 2006, 08:56:14 PM You have to have at least the buy in amount of the table you wish to chat on on Stars too. One thing that came to my attention during Tank's Blonde tournies was the amount of scroungers you get on tables. That's sorted thankfully, last week we had no scroungers. Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Ironside on February 01, 2006, 09:09:13 PM as you have to have the buy in for the comp in your stars account i cant see how you got scroungers in the first place
but for the next few weeks we will be trying new sites we have had a few comps on stars and will have more again Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Trace on February 01, 2006, 09:15:25 PM nice work that man
i didnt play on Sunday as i have no money in my stars account, only sites i have money in are VC, BS and Spodds. Can't withdraw from BS or Spodds and not enough in VC to make it worth it. So i guess i wont be playing on Stars much. Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Trace on February 01, 2006, 09:17:24 PM as you have to have the buy in for the comp in your stars account i cant see how you got scroungers in the first place but for the next few weeks we will be trying new sites we have had a few comps on stars and will have more again I lost count of how many people came asking for 10c or 2c, not a lot I hear you say to yourself, soon builds up when you table hop. Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: onenote on February 01, 2006, 09:28:15 PM nice one ironside :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: GURNFISH on February 01, 2006, 10:19:16 PM Please excuse my ignorance but could anybody tell me what a scrounger is ? I am assuming it is the same as a spammer ? Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Ironside on February 01, 2006, 10:25:22 PM scrounger is a nipper
a person asking for a lend of some money so they can play a game Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Wardonkey on February 01, 2006, 10:27:34 PM A scrounger is someone begging for money.
Why don't sites just hand out mandatory chats to offenders? That would be much more satisfactory than killing the chat altogether. Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: GURNFISH on February 02, 2006, 12:10:57 AM How can you lend or borrow money on a Poker site ? Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Ironside on February 02, 2006, 12:18:04 AM because on pokerstars you can transfer money from one account to another
Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: thetank on February 02, 2006, 12:38:29 AM If I were King of the World I would do the following to solve the problem
Take observer chat privileges away from anyone recieving more than 3 transfers (from different users) in any given day for amounts of under $5. Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Poppet7 on February 02, 2006, 01:49:26 AM I don't understand why people would anyway, if I had a stranger on there asking em for money I wouldn't give it to them because I don't know them. it's different if you're friends with the person but otherwise why would you bother?
Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: I KNOW IT on February 02, 2006, 04:58:29 AM Theres a guy on Ultimate bet who came on asking someone for $$, like a fool I said Id give him $5 if I final. Well he stayed with me over 2 hours. I happened to final so I sent him the $5.
Next time I went on UB, he appeared again asking the same ?. So I said " same drill as before , If I final u get the $5. Thinking that will surely put him off. That guy sat on the rail from start to finnish, so I sent him another $5. I found out the guy had added me to his buddy list so when I logged on my name appeared. He would be there like a shot. In the end I started refusing him as it was getting a bit much. Thought he was a good luck charm for a while though. LOL Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: Ironside on February 02, 2006, 05:00:03 AM Theres a guy on Ultimate bet who came on asking someone for $$, like a fool I said Id give him $5 if I final. I lent him 50 cents back in February 2004 and i still havent been paid back. He still owes $500 in monkey court fees after he was sued for liable after comments regarding the paying back of the loan and apparently he has a monkey warrant out for his arrest should he ever set foot in the jungle as he hasn't paid those costs either. Title: Re: Blonde Online Poker Comps Post by: thetank on February 03, 2006, 03:15:52 PM Tank just give me a $1 and i'll leave u alone :D. Money well spent hopefully :D Good luck in Blackpool. Only 81 runners, piece of piss, you'll walk it. |
