2016 is turning into something of a graveyard year. I hope that there's some better news around the corner.

One of these Nights was one of the first 45's I ever bought. The Long Run was arguably their first super-group album - the one after Hotel California - so an album long-awaited in high anticipation. I still have the vinyl. The critics didn't like it very much, but iirc it was a commercial success. Frey wasn't my fav Eagle, but he was certainly a talent and has been taken far too young.

Oh my, that's very sad.

He was my least favourite of the band, but without him and Henley, there was no band, those two were the central pillars from day one.

Quite a feisty type, the recent 4 hour documentary on the history of the band was superb viewing, and Frey pulled no punches.

RIP.
