So most games pre 1990 look slow and very outdated. This game is one of the rare exceptions imo. Entire periods with defenders knocking it to each other and back to the keeper with no one running about off the ball.

Entire periods with defenders knocking it to each other and back to the keeper with no one running about off the ball. One of the best examples is Italia 1990. Possibly the dullest tournament ever massively skewed by the fact England did relatively well in it. There are "highlights" packages of that around and the quality is shocking.
