I was pretty unfortunate to bust set over set the other day so I'm giving another Powerfest Event a go tonight on partypoker
If a UK player eliminates me in the $30,000 GTD Bounty Event #56 starting at 8pm they'll receive a $1,050 Powerfest Main Event Seat.* Not bad for a $55 buy-in!

Is the claim in the Facebook group thing something that you need to do for every promotion? First time I've seen it, although I don't check the rail between texts and other things much.

Yes it's become standard

Are individual exceptions made for people who cannot have a Facebook account for various purposes? Might seem unbelievable, but its true, myself as an example (work related issues).

HELP! $100K POWERFEST $109 RE-STARTS AT 9:30PM UK TIME

Tonights $109 Powerfest MTT $100K Gtd cancelled 30 mins ago, all players were paid out but partypopker have decided that they must honour the $100K GTE and re-run it tonight at 9:30PM UK time for the players that wanted to play, regardless of the massive financial risk.

You had to opt in, was in missions.

ffs. proper decent. I might even have come out of retirement and found the time to play 4 tournies (unlikely tho)

Such a great promotion with the extra tickets for the following week and so poorly executed from party. I had no idea missions existed but there are still several days this week and plenty of time to play 4 tournaments (I thought), but the mission appears to have been already removed and the offer over. I did not know there was a 'mission' that needed to be done and I did not know I had to commit in advance to doing it. I thought I just had to mail support after I played 4 tournaments or maybe it just happened automatically.

Makes me laugh that this promotion is right up my street and would encourage me to play more and it is ended up making me more annoyed than if there wasn't a promotion in the first place if I am denied it on a technicality.

Obviously I'm grumpy. But I was also denied equity in the cancelled tournament when I had 2x start stack when the tournament disappeared after an hour and a half and then just got my buy in back the same as the people that already busted. I don't really get this as it is actually set out in the terms and conditions on the party website:

"Multi-table tournaments

Players who have been eliminated from a tournament before cancellation for technical reasons will lose their buy-in and entry fee.

Any players still competing in a tournament when it is cancelled for technical reason will be refunded as follows:

1. Each player will be awarded prize money equal to the amount that would have been awarded to the next player to be eliminated.

2. After prize money has been allocated according to point 1, 50% of the remaining prize pool will be distributed equally between the remaining players, and 50% will be distributed on a percentage basis according to the remaining players' chip count at the time of cancellation.

3. The remaining players will also be refunded their entry fee."

I really want to play more on party. I just wish it was smoother and easier.

The people who do Social Media are really dedicated and do their best at the thankless task (I feel like they are Fernando Alonso, fantastic at their job but with terrible machinery to work with). But things just keep infuriating me with the site and prevent me from playing there more.

I am enjoying the experience of being a customer of poker sites less and less. A welcome exception in the industry is DTD (even though I haven't been there much as I am not in the UK much), so I'm glad for the DTD/party connection and I already see the good influence.  I appreciate the effort from party, I just wish they would stop missing the open goal.

PM me personally and I will pay what you think you are owed. Please - be reasonable"

you don't have to opt in to claim anymore they removed it from the missions tab.

fwiw tickets won in the last 4x22 promotion don't count towards the 4x109! but normal sat seats do.

hmm we contacted them and got confirmed they just removed the opt in option so you were in by default.........

i double checked this just now with the lady that has helped on some of your stuff and she told me

- this ended for opt in on the 8th
- IF a player had opted in before the 8th the mission will be valid and they will receive it once they com-plete x4 tournaments
- only tourneys completed after opt in will count
- unfortunately - the mission display was removed in full even for active players when the mission opt in period ended
- No mission next week - powerfest missions have now ended

ok so if you hadn't opted in by the 8th you won't get the bonus. understood ty.

First it is annoying and silly that you have to 'opt in' but fine, ok. Secondly it absolutely makes no sense that the 'opt in' ends after less than half of the week, particularly as more people play at the weekends and there are more powerfest tournies there. Whoever made that decision is an absolute idiot. Could have got loads of goodwill and more rake from me as I played more on the site, in the end it will probably mean I play less than I would have done anyway if there was no promotion.
