Title: What would you do? Post by: Nakor on March 07, 2016, 11:27:19 AM You are charged £65 for lunch when it should have been closer to £120 - were not offered an itemised bill, were distracted while paying, only realised when home. Country pub. Would you go back? Would it make any difference if that lunch was possibly the worst service experience of your life, and the food was no more then a 5/10? Title: Re: What would you do? Post by: BiloxiDesire on March 07, 2016, 11:38:01 AM Probably wouldn't make a difference to me regardless of service, unless I knew the owners personally or was a regular in said pub I wouldn't do anything about it.

Title: Re: What would you do? Post by: RED-DOG on March 07, 2016, 12:02:52 PM Entirely circumstance dependent for me. If I thought they deserved it I would go back and pay, if undercharging me was just one more facet of their incompetence I wouldn't.

Post by: tikay on March 07, 2016, 01:29:19 PM Imagine the bill was £65, but you were somehow distracted when paying & paid £120. You realise this when you arrive home. Would you expect the Pub to refund the overpaid £55? Title: Re: What would you do? Would you expect the Pub to refund the overpaid £55? Yes, but I wouldn't expect them to drive round to my house to tell me about it and bring me the money, especially if I'd been a worse than average customer. Title: Re: What would you do? Post by: Poacky3s on March 08, 2016, 05:27:57 PM I would probably just look at it as a little bonus anyway, but when you factor in the fact you hated the service and weren't satisfied with the food, then that would make me even less inclined to want to.
Title: Re: What would you do? Post by: hhyftrftdr on March 08, 2016, 05:39:45 PM Food and restaurant variance.
Go spend at KFC that you saved at below average country pub. Circle of life. Title: Re: What would you do? Post by: pleno1 on March 08, 2016, 06:04:55 PM 100% go back and pay.
Title: Re: What would you do? Post by: bergeroo on March 08, 2016, 06:08:23 PM For those who are saying don't pay. If the meal was 9/10 would you be more likely to go back and pay?

I would go back as a default, but if I was especially unhappy with the service, or food, be pretty comfortable just leaving it. Title: Re: What would you do?
