Title: Cheltenham "Offers" Thread 2016
Post by: horseplayer on March 13, 2016, 12:21:21 PM
Hello all.

Will not be mentioning new account holder offers in this thread as they are varied and full of terms and conditions. Suffice to say if you do not yet have an account with some firms next week (Tuesday especially) would be one of the better times of a year to do so.

I will list the offers already in place below and update daily with all I can find. As ever Tuesday will be the best day for offers and even if for a relatively small amount will provide lots of value.

As has been said by a few people of late there has never been a better time to be a £10-£20 horse racing punter, however if you do not receive BOG or other promotions from the firms below assume you will not get these offers (or ask the firms yourself).

CONFIRMED OFFERS FOR EXISTING ACCOUNT HOLDERS. TERMS ARE IN BOLD/ITALICS OFFERS ARE PRESUMED ONLINE CHANNELS ONLY UNLESS STATED.

SKYBET : SkyBet are offering ALL customers money back as a free bet if your selection loses. Applies to the first race of each day at Cheltenham Festival: Supreme Novices, Neptune, JLT, and Triumph Hurdle. Max free bet refund £25. CONDITIONS

Max refund £25. Money Back as a free bet. First bet only counts for this offer. T&Cs apply.

PADDY POWER : If your selection finishes 2nd in any race at the Cheltenham Festival, Paddy Power will refund losing single stakes as a free bet. Max free bet £25. Does not apply to extra racing markets, betting in-running or Tote bets. CONDITIONS

Applies to bets placed from 8am, 1st March. Applies to win (and the win part of each way) single bets only. Refunds will be in the form of a free bet, maximum £/E25 per customer per race. Free bet stakes are not included in any winnings and will be valid for 7 days. Does not apply to extra racing markets or betting in-running. Does not apply to Tote bets. Special does not apply if your selection dead heats for 1st place.

LADBROKES : If the SP Favourite wins the first race (1.30) of the day, Ladbrokes will refund losing stakes on every horse in the race as a free bet up to £/€25. This offer applies on each day of The Cheltenham Festival 2016 on the following races: Sky Bet Supreme Novice Hurdle (Tuesday 15th), Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle (Wednesday 16th), JLT Novices’ Chase (Thursday 17th), JCB Triumph Hurdle (Friday 18th). CONDTIONS

Available to new and existing online, mobile, tablet, sms and shop customers on the Grid. There are loads more but you cant c + p from lads link here https://m.ladbrokes.com/en-gb/#!promotion?promoId=341

LADBROKES : If your horse finishes second in a live Cheltenham Festival Channel 4 race with at least 5 runners, Ladbrokes will refund your stake as a Free Bet, up to £/€25. First bet per race only. Excludes the first race each day. Max £25 per race. CONDITIONS

link here https://m.ladbrokes.com/en-gb/#!promotion?promoId=1543 Excludes the first race of the day seems the same terms as above offer otherwise.

WILLIAM HILL : William Hill will not be beaten on price promotion. The more i read into this the more doubts i have. The odious Jon Ivan Duke (Hills Pr Man) has stated on Twitter you will be able to get on what you normally can! So all seems vague if you do not have BOG now you wont suddenly get it. If you have 45 minutes read below. CONDITIONS

Good work John, thank you.

Hopefully others will do the same if they spot stuff.

It's sort of wasted posting it on Fred, far better as a standalone thread.

The sky freezer offer question

If I place a bet on first race every day of £25 at end of week I will have only cost me £25 of which I now have a freezer token for assuming I lose all my bets?

thanks that's great, had already bookmarked some of these but now they are all in one place.

Quick question on the Laddies one. Channel 4 races - these are the first 5 races each day?

Also Betfair sportsbook are doing an offer. If I remember correctly. If you have a winner first day above 3/1 price then you get three free bets. Not sure how good that one is really, but it is something...

Boyles are also doing a free bet if you are second or third to the SP favourite up to £25. This seems like a pretty good one for the races that have a very short favourite. Arkle, Neptune, Queen Mother, World hurdle etc

Cheers John.

Before I try and find my Grid Card, do you know if you can do it online and also in shop, for the Laddies offer, or are the email addresses tied in?

Loyalty Card.

Seems they will do both!!

Next question.

Is the betfair offer of 3 free bets on every winner on day 1? Obviously it would need to be your first bet in each race, I presume?

Re betfair

•           Applies to win singles and win part of each way singles on any race at Cheltenham on Tuesday 15th March 2016
•           Back a winner at SP odds of 3/1 or greater in any race on Day 1 (15th March) of the 2016 Cheltenham Festival and receive THREE free bets matching your initial stake up to £/€25 each
•           E.g. Back a winner at SP 3/1 for £/€25 - you will receive your £100 winnings in cash as well as THREE £25 free bets
•           Does not apply to singles contained in a multiple bets e.g. Lucky 15
•           Your first cash bet on each race from Thursday 3rd March will be your qualifying bet.

Also free bets must be used within 48 hours.

That seems a very good bonus for getting a winner, be good to have a sportsbook account! Or a lads one for that matter, shops it is here may be some other good offers in shops tomorrow.

Stars bet are offering free bets up to £10 if 2nd or 3rd.  No idea how competitive they will be.

Title: Re: Cheltenham "Offers" Thread 2016

Bet365 are doing their usual Best Odds Guaranteed (on bets from 10am on day of race, compared against Ladbrokes, William Hill, Paddy Power, Coral, Betfred and Boylesports) and Channel 4/1 offer (back any winner at 4/1 or more and get a free bet of up to £50 on the next race) that they do on all Channel 4 races every Saturday.

Now, it's what they do every week so it's not a Cheltenham thing, but it does seem to my untrained eye that it stacks up well against the 'special' offers the other bookies are doing.

Any firms likely to do any extra specials for the champion hurdle, ie pay four places? Or can I get my bet on now???

Doubt you will get 4 places

However tomorrow between 10am and probably about 12pm be surprised if it isnt a 98% book or better at somepoint

hold fire imo

You are unlikely to get a worse price in the morning. Eg seems likely someone will go 3/1 Annie Power.  4 places is less likely, but still possible. Would definitely wait.

"Tony, Betfred are unveiling a number of Cheltenham specials to enhance the excitement as we creep ever closer to that spine-tingling roar!

Available from 6pm tonight, you can enjoy at least one Extra Place Race every day!

Fred will also be offering HUGE boosts from 10:30am until 12noon every day of Cheltenham, while those in search of big wins can take advantage of money-back 2nd and 3rd to the SP fav up to £25 as a free bet, in EVERY handicap!"

Not an offer but this account is useful

https://twitter.com/WindOps

As name suggests the person is trying their best to publicise horses that have wind ops since last run that are running at Cheltenham. Of course they dont all work e.t.c but it is good to have this information pre race to help with the decision making

CORAL: Bet £20 on the Supreme Novices' Hurdle (13:30) and get a £5 free bet for every Mullins-trained winner on Day 1.

BETFRED: 'Price boosts from 10:30', no idea how good this is going to be...
UNIBET: Again, 'Price boosts from 10:30', no idea how good this is going to be...

Yeah bit of a long shot that I investigated after Unibet 'offered' 33-1 on the Mullins lot winning. Best price 35-1 on oddschecker

How good is the VC offer for cash back as free bet if your horse finishes 2nd to a Mullins trained horse?  Is this a good way of getting against his short priced ones and also a way to be onside with some of his fancier priced options?

It's £25 on the win part, I guess there are some Math geniuses on here who are able to calculate the +/- EVNS on this.

Thanks to Peter I have a chunk on there burning a hole in my pocket and I am ready to unclip, and get against Mullins in every race.   #Goingforglory

It is going to be very good if the Mullins horse is very short and victor is near top price on your selection.

champion hurdle a 97% book (3/1 in a few places on Annie Power)
