Title: David Gest, RIP
Post by: tikay on April 12, 2016, 06:00:39 PM

I understand it was reported this afternoon that David Gest has passed away.

I don't really know too much about David, except that I happened to meet him a year or two back in Grosvenor Leeds of all paces, he was playing the Fruities.

RIP David.

RIP David.

I saw him in Genting Sheffield doing the same thing.

Always appeared to be a charismatic guy.

RIP

He was quite the fan of my hometown, York. Could often be seen out and about in the city.

2016 strikes yet again.

This could turn into something, I saw him at the Vic playing the machines.

RIP David, always liked him, not sure why.

Even in death he made me chuckle and it wasn't even anything he done, just the thought of Angie Bowie telling the other bird on CBB that David was dead and her screaming thinking it was Gest when she was talking about Bowie, TV Gold. Couldn't help wonder if she reacted the same way when she heard it was Gest this time.

if the newspapers are to be believed (yeah) he had racked up debts of £500,000 on the slots

I too saw him playing them, at G Luton a few years ago. hours on end. Went to play poker. got knocked out of the poker, he hadnt moved!

When i used to work at Genting Newcastle he'd come in on a Friday night once every 6 weeks or so. Sat on the slots all evening. Seemed nice enough.
