Title: Blue riband bet
Post by: horseplayer on April 29, 2016, 08:23:41 AM
Probably seen it if affected but incase not

http://www.blueribandbet.com

They offered best price match and a quarter the odds every race regardless of shape. Turns out this isn't a great long term strategy.

Hope nobody here got burned. I opened with them a while back and they were the most professional and efficient bookies ever used, just lucky they were phone only and I didn't bother to do much more with them  ( literally got pounds in with them).

"Funds are held in a client account but not protected in the event of insolvency"

In other words not held in a segregated client account at all.  It's just their own account and they've put the word "client" in the title.

Disappointed that this didn't turn out to be an eating prop bet

Just done a bit of digging and the main owner of blue riband bet was a director at panbet (ie marathon bet).  The accounts of marathon bet are available at companies house.  Seemingly profitable, but look at that balance sheet.
