I am pleased to announce the TfT £11K Celebration FA Cup(s) Competition.

The rules are as follows:

1. Entry is FREE to those who have had a tip accepted on the "Tips for tikay" thread prior to Thursday 19/05/2016.

2. The competition will be run during this year's FA Cup & Scottish FA Cup on Saturday 21st May.

3. Each entrant will pick a 50/50 answer for each of the questions listed below.

The questions have been chosen so as to be close to a "coin flip" based on the best information available from the collected might of the British bookmaking industry so everyone has a fair chance to win.

4. There will be one point for each correct answer and zero points for each incorrect answer. In addition you must select one question as your "joker". This will score you two points if you are correct.
In the event of a tie, the person who gets the closest answer to the tie-break question will be deemed the winner.

5. I will be using information from bbc.co.uk for the purpose of deciding the result of each question.

6. Entries must be posted on this thread by 2:30pm on Saturday.

7. The winner will be the person who scores the most points.

8. My decision is final in all matters (until proven otherwise).

It comes as no surprise to me that after a decent showing in the Scots game I managed to lose 6 consecutive coinflips at Wembley.

The runner-up prize of £25 has been paid to superwomble.

The winners prize of £50 to "crown" has yet to be paid, as he needs to send me some more Bank Details, but we are sorting that & it should be finalised today.

"crown", aka Paul, made a lovely gesture & insisted I send £20 of his winnings to Mere, so he can buy a bottle of plonk, by way of thanking Mere for all his work in running these competitions.

Mere, of course, would politely decline if we asked him - so I have sent him the £20 (from Paul's winnings) already, so even he can't argue with that, despite bring his usual obdurate self.

crown has now been paid the full £50, as Mere, predictably, politely & graciously declined the £20 gift. We have been sending the £20 back & forth all afternoon, but I think I'll give up, Mere is so obdurate & stubborn, traits which I'm glad I don't suffer from.

So that's it, everyone is sorted, & we had a little fun along the road.
