As Graham says they were just trying to copy the previous format. It ended up looking like they were trying to act out the old top gear but unfortunately they're terrible actors.
The reason it worked before was that they didn't have to force anything as they just did what they do naturally. None of them had to act the part they played because it's who they were. Chris Evans trying to pretend he's Clarkson made me cringe. |
