i would think saints are going to get nearer 60 points that 50
maybe my rose tinted specs but the players have had a chance to gel over last 2 seasons
and are all maturing together despite the loss of wanyama and mane we will be a better team than last year
on the negative we will have 2 games a week for the first half a season and the rest of the league cant be as weak as it was last year
but i think we will get close to 60 points for 3rd season in a row

There is only one spread betting company?

Spurs and Liverpool seem the wrong way round.  Would rather back Leicester than sell them, but you get better elsewhere?

Apparently Middlesborough are a buy (c) tft.  I'd be tempted.

I like Middlesborough. Think they are investing well and have already steamed into the 8/13 for them to stay up. Think they will finish mid-table comfortably.

I like Everton

Koeman will transform that defence, which conceded so readily under Martinez. Turning a few defeats into draws adds some points right off the bat

the prospect of better recruitment in the next two transfer windows too, lots of kids just breaking through too

53-54 could easily be 61-62+ just from the "easy" changes a proper manager will make to tactics, style of play etc

Would have Middlesborough in the high 40s rather than 39-40 too

Not sure where these spreads are from but Boro are now at 40 with Spin.

Only thing I really fancy at the moment is buying Chelsea at 72.

Can't see any possible downside in Stoke at all at 45.5 like i have said elsewhere on forum in the last week.  They are 14/1 to go down.  The two don't really equate imo.  I don't think 14/1 to go down is any value either.  Would probably happily lay that.  Wouldn't mind an even £5k Stoke to finish above Bournemouth either!

I didn't know this, have you mentioned it elsewhere on the forum?

Got to agree with most of the noise on here Stoke and Everton look a steal at them prices to me,also expect boro to do well they won't excite people but they will be well organised and should be able to pinch enough to stay up

Buy West Ham, sell Leicester.

I was thinking Buying Chelsea stood out, would sell City, Leicester and maybe Arsenal, and buy Middlesborough, West Ham and maybe Spurs. Was indifferent about most of the others though might take the recommendation of arrboy and pleno and go stoke and palace too.

How do spreadbetting sites work with bets like these? Must I have a huge amount deposited in case of a freak result? Ie to cover for a 20 point swing?

You can apply for a credit account.  If you give them a bank statement showing 12k (for example) they'll give you a credit limit of 4k and you only have to settle at end of season or if you trades exceed 4k negative mark to market.  I know them quite well so I'll introduce you to the credit guys on email if you want and we will probably both get free bets (not sure what the current freebies are though). PM me with your email if you want me to make an introduction.

I was looking at current spread prices on SI and compared the movement with those at the start of the season in the OP based on the mid-price.  Thought someone might find it interesting so posting it here:

Any thoughts?

Just looking at the moves I'm surprised Burnley are lower than pre season and surprised Everton are above pre season.  Also surprised Man Utd haven't dropped more.

Burnley is the one that surprises me the most.  I think they must be a buy at the moment despite their comedy away form.

Happy to see some of those, esp Leicester. So sigh that I halved my unders spread on them cos I wimped out. Backed Swansea for the drop at 4/1 when they sold Williams and Ayew and their price didn't move. I think they are now around even money. Happy with my big Boro overs and went huge on Chelsea so that's going awesome obv.

Less good are West Ham overs looking very worrying. They are just awful. Even Hull deserved at least a point against them yesterday. Man City (unders) was very frightening but now about b/e. Ditto Stoke (overs). Spurs (overs) was a small bet but going ok too.

This news about Payet not wanting to play and not being allowed to train with West Ham is worrying- he's their only hope. Thinking about cashing out my overs on them, spread is 43-44 atm. Any thoughts?

I wasn't going to cash out any of these bets but just feel they are so bad, and without him, can't see them getting 44+ points with the side as it is.

Idk, maybe if they get 3-4 guys in it could be ok.

Carroll/Ayew back should help them too.
