Title: DVD to TV connection problem
Post by: cambridgealex on October 11, 2016, 12:02:51 AM
I have a Samsung TV with the following connections.

And have bought a Sony DVD player with just a SCART output. How do I connect these two together?

How old is the DVD player? Most don't even have scart any more it's that old.

If that's the only output from the DVD player you're out of luck unfortunately.

I'd say a DVD player that only has SCART out has a market value of 10p so I hope you didn't pay too much for it.

You can get a converter that turns scart in to the component connections you've got on the bottom right of the picture.

It probably will do the job, you just need the "best seller" tv to go with it :D

you could always send it back.

Let us hope you are better at ping pong than your knowledge of modern electrical gadgetry.

I have an eight track cassette for sale if you are interested.

Bet you wouldn't be asking this if your scart lead was 6ft 5 inches long
