2016 Dusk Till Dawn Club Championships

Dates 26th Dec - 2nd January

Just a heads up that we are going to bring back the "Anniversary Cup" in the form of the "Dusk Till Dawn Club Championships". Details will be finalised in next 2 weeks but here are the basics:

1. Only players who have visited the club in 2016 will be eligible to play
2. There will be a series of events [Team, Doubles, PLO, 6 Max, Ladies, Seniors, High Roller, ending in a £500 Main Event [same as first Anniversary Cup]
3. All events with be strict Freezeouts with no multi Day 1s or Online Day 1s, buy ins start at £150
4. There will be added prizes for overall player of the series and other added value
5. There will be 1 NL event Online on partypoker
6. Sats will start on partypoker in December

This is very much a DTD community series of events to thank our regulars for their support since the club opened in Nov 2007. It's a shame this annual end of year event fell by the wayside after our first 3 years of our opening but we are now able to bring this back now as we do not operate any third party events at the club.

Over the Christmas and New Year period, Dusk Till Dawn will be hosting the ‘DTD Championships’ which will offer a wide range of events for our members with £220,000 in guarantees!

Events: Online, Team, Ladies, Seniors, PLO, Main, 6 Max,  6 Max High Roller

Age definition for seniors event please, thanks in advance.

Would love to play the PLO but will be visiting relatives instead :-(

The Club Championships start tonight on party.

3 x £550 GTD at 9pm for $109 ($5 and $22 flexible ticket feeders run to win $109 tickets all day).

 If you win a second £550 club champs main event seat this is held as T$675 for players.

 Shortly $200 satellites will be added to to win £150+15 seats for Club Championship events (6-max, seniors, PLO) too

Will these "strict freezeouts" have an option of re-entry at any stage?

They are what they say, strict freezeouts so no.

Thanks, but I remember when freezeout meant freezeout so that's why I felt the need to confirm.

Anyhow I'm not sure if I've visited DTD this year despite living only a ten minute drive away so may not be eligible.

It's sad state of affairs really.

Cash buy ins and 100% of prize pool paid out in cash or the usual 15% of the prize pool in seats for future events?  Like Ralph not sure i have actually been to DTD this year. I have played a final day of a GP at old trafford in 2016.  Does that count?

Yes, be good to know this. Its a deal-breaker for me and I'm sure lots of others.

This is a Club Championships so only open to players who have visited DTD club itself in 2016 prior to each event starting.

Still plenty of time to play at DTD if you haven't already. There's a £10k XXL25 Monster on Friday, plus the Xmas Grand Prix next week.

So looking at the schedule if you have not attended this year there are no comps you can play between Christmas and New Year?  i.e nothing running alongside the Club Championships?

There will be comps each evening in addition to the Club Championship events which start in the afternoon. Schedule will be updated over the next few days.

It would seem somewhat ironic if I am unable to play in the only old-fashioned freezeout tourneys held at DTD when the reason that I've not been playing is because I disapprove of re-entry, two-tier tourneys, and seat deductions from the prize-pool.

This is a really good point Ralph.

They're saying that only people who've played at the club this year can join in the club championship and yet the events at the club championship are different to anything else they've ran during the year.

What about the people who supported the club on day 1 when it first started?

I was a regular for several years but now I'm not wanted because my circumstances have changed and I've not been able to make it for a while :(

Actually come to think of it I'm probably allowed to play. I popped in to pick up some dollars from a mate about a month ago so I'll qualify.

"

The team event is open to teams of 3 or 4 players. Players will play the tournament as individual players, but with the finishing positions of the three highest placed players counting to the final score. Winners, & places, will be calculated by adding together the placings of the best 3 players in each team, with the lowest score being the winner. In the event of a tie, if all teams involved in the tie have 4 players, the place of the 4th placed player will be the deciding factor. If all teams involved in the tie haven’t got 4 players, the placing of the highest placed player in each team will be the deciding factor.

The prizepool will be paid out two thirds to the best placed teams, & one third to the best placed individual players.

Final payouts will depend on number of entrants."

"This is a Double Chance format. You get half of your chips immediately, and can take the other half at any point up to the end of Late Registration. If you haven’t taken them by that point, you will be given them automatically."

Alongside the two Club Championship events today there is another £5,000 GTD XXL25 Giant at 7pm, late reg to 9.20pm. In the last couple of nights prizepools have exceeded £7,000 making nice prizepools for the outlay.....

Thanks for coming back to me, my mate has had confirmation he can attend as he has played online day 1's for gppt & online day 1s for dtd events this year.

Didn't realize that playing a ticket on PP counted as visiting the club or might have played the PLO.

I wasn't sure either to be honest but he has it in writing - I guess if you don't ask you don't get.

Strangely no mention of online play making people(like me) eligible following my enquiry a couple of weeks before the event.

My mate is already back on the motorway - hopefully the ruling was wrong and he can have his money back??? :-)
