This looks absolutely fantastic but as ever I have the usual question that's probably going to put me off when I hear the answer :(

How many entries, same day re-entries, different day re-entries, reloads, rebuys or whatever name they go by can I (or more importantly everyone else) have? It doesn't say anywhere so I have no idea as I'm afraid it changes every time.

I hate having to ask this question as it looks like I'm deliberately trying to put a downer on this potentially great set of tournaments but it's pretty important.

Hope these make the guarantees and can continue long term as they really do look good.

Sure it is amazing and 99% of punters will love it.  £100k weekly in Nottingham for £200 is some effort to maintain.  Basically like running the original deepstack from ten years ago every single week instead of monthly for a buy in 1/3 cheaper.  Is it just for January or going to be run every single month on that rotating 4 weekly format for the longer term?

Surely the format is designed to put a halt to the growing 25/25 bandwagon which runs on a weekly basis around the country right?  Same buy in 4 times the gtd and the option to play day 1 at home and only turn out on Sunday live if you have to.  Lot of advantages over the 25/25 format imo.

Had to log in to say this is absolutely incredible, DTD really are the best there has ever been.

Wish these were around 5 years ago when I first started playing I'd have been there every single weekend. With all the satellites and freeroll programmes anyone with an interest in poker has 40+ chances a year to win a years wages from pennies.

Small enough for anyone to get into and £20k+ ftw big enough for more serious players to travel for day 2s having already cashed for £400.

No direct buy in for Day 2.

Does this mean that the monthly deepstack event with a £500 buy in has been scrapped for the foreseeable future?  I guess the lower buy in has been introduced to ensure that the guarantee is reached pretty much every time.  Really like the concept of having the different formats - will be interesting to see which is the most popular.

Question though - how does the turbo work? - 18 levels of 15 minutes = 4.5 hours.  The schedule shows the turbo starting at 11.30 and day 2 at 3.00pm.  Are some levels taken out of the turbo?

Please note for seats won in satellites (this applies for all live events, MILLIONS Phase 1 included)

- 1st Seat won must be used for the live event

- 2nd (or more seats) won, the player receives Tournament $$$ (which can be used for partypoker online MTTs such as power series, powerfest etc)

Players who want to use second seats for re-entries into the live event can buy into holding tanks

Please note this is only for actual seats [not Feeders where multiple tickets are won]

Ok I've not been to DTD for over 2 years. Got fed up of fines and points with the road works. This year I plan to
Play there more as I really like the place. My question is why is there time limits on sats if this is going to be a regular tournament. For me in my busy time of year I can't always make sats, so a 7 day period can be difficult. To me it seems like nicking my hard earned sat ticket because I can't use it at your convenience.

Hi kev, the smaller feeders have 7 day expiry and the £220 tickets 30 day expiry. I think that's reasonable, four weeks or four events to choose from looking forward and help keep liquidity flowing through the system. Otherwise some players hoard multiple tickets and satellite activity isn't reflected in the live numbers

please note the schedule changes for this week though. Day 1's are 12 levels not 18, blinds are not rolled back so likely to be slightly different on day 2 this time round

just normal nine handed this weekend. it was meant to be a knockout but had to be changed as there were difficulties getting the knockout format online to mirror that live, so until that's resolved no knockouts

No, the min cash is £400 but because there will be many more players on Sunday, it is not for all players

Don't know if you want to feed it back, but personally I think thats a big positive factor to know before playing, that should you make day2, you will be travelling (for some people a long way) to DTD in the knowledge it will be a profitable trip.

It might avoid unnecessary ill feeling it was made clear though. Hi Rich, I know your just the messenger, but this change seems crazy to me, do you know the underlying reason to change this?
It means the online structure is far more crapashooty with a rush to get a decent enough stack to justify the expenses and travelling to Notts for what could be a quick return home with no cash.

The 18 levels and then arrive in Notts with a min cash under your belt sounds perfect to me and I'm sure many others, so why change it?

I have passed all the feedback on here and elsewhere on.

A lot of players felt that 18 levels day 1 (live, primarily) was a long old day. It is felt that giving players a much better tournament experience with 12 day 1 levels vs 18 is much better/more player friendly

of course it will bring back more players for day 2 so its not possible to guarantee a min cash for everyone returning

Ah i totally get this now Rich and actually agree with what you're doing.
I was thinking from the online side, but with the increase in Live Day1s and realising they have the same amount of levels but obviously much longer, it makes total sense to adjust and cater for the Live players.
Its certainly a great value comp that ill be looking to play in more, thats for sure.

Firstly, I'd play anything with more than two cards. IMO 4 card 6max would attract the largest player pool, I've met quite a few who won't play 456 but will play 4 (weirdos...)

I'd also very much prefer it ran regularly with a conservative guarantee starting at say £10k that rose over time than start with a 100k that ends up with a huge overlay. But then again Rob runs a roaring success story and I don't so if he goes for it good luck too him - I'll be there.

If you do do this I would say 8-max 4-card.  I know some players who would consider playing 4-card, but wouldn't even contemplate 5/6 card.

The payouts for the DTD200 last weekend indicate that some sort of deal was done.  Have DTD changed their policy or was this a one off?  I did see that deals were done for a few of the festival events.

firstly last weekend the DTD200 payout last weekend was 100% cash as a one off. as of this week tickets to future big events form part of the prize pool

Secondly i am not aware there is a formal policy change for regular DTD events. DTDNeil on here may know more than me on this

I did hear that Jhn Duthie was firmly of the view that deals should be allowed at partypokerlive/MILLIONS events and indeed there were some last week

The DTD200 returns this week with the usual 8-Max format with an Online Day 1 tonight at 9pm and Live Day 1s over the weekend.

The payout has now been altered to move us from 20 x £550 Phase 1 tickets to 10 x £1100 MILLION Seats for the soon to be announced £1 Million Gtd event at Dusk Till Dawn

I hope you don't mind me providing some feedback.

I've found the recent changes to the satellite structure for the DTD200 to be disappointing.

Previously there were daily $11s at 5pm, 7pm and 9pm, and $55s at 7pm and 9pm. Now there is just one daily $11 at 7pm and one $55 at 9pm with 10 £220 seats guarenteed (the 5pm turbo $55 seems to have disappeared this week too).

I wasn't aware that the $11 and $55 satellites previously had significant overlays or struggled to fill.

I'll continue to support this fantastic weekly tournament; I just wish there were more satellites like before!!

The $55 sat last night didn't finish until half past midnight so I think also having an earlier $55 option catered for those who work 9-5 and didn't fancy a late finish.

RE: DTD 200s

Hi

We have taken advice from players and staff and will be taking a break from the DTD 200s for the next 3 weeks so that we can work on the Grand Prix £1M

The Club will do some 1 day events at the weekend instead which players have also asked for and these will be on the web site on Monday so that players still have something to play if they had planned to come to the Club for a DTD 200.
