Title: Re: I played this wrong Post by: Phil on February 03, 2006, 10:32:08 PM I may well fold to the first raise depending on player knowledge, but would certaining be inclined to pass to the second raise. The second raise must surely be AA, KK, QQ or AK, so you're gunna have a big decision to make even if you hit a piece of the flop.
Title: Re: I played this wrong Post by: NoflopsHomer on February 03, 2006, 10:35:24 PM I'd fold preflop to the first raise here unless I had notes on this guy and definately to the 2nd raise which is a minimum which screams big pair. What can you beat here preflop that he might raise with?

You've shown weakness and even if you do hit, you could be in all sorts of bother.
Title: Re: I played this wrong Post by: jezza777 on February 04, 2006, 12:58:16 AM AJ suited is a dangerous hand after one raise. After a reraise before you its an essential fold. You are easily dominated here and wont know if you are good even if you hit an ace . AJ is not as great a hand as it seems. I think unless conditions are good ie you are getting good value and have decent position then I would rarely call one raise with it.
