He rinsed Wolves financially as badly as Savage rinsed Derby but he did it over 4 or 5 years not 2 like Savage. In return he has been rinsed by his wife and numerous other gold diggers to have to appear on CBB for circa £100k before tax (previously he would have been taking this home every month AFTER tax). I have just watched CBB for the first time in years tonight and googled him and i didn't actually realise how shit his career has been relative to his earnings and 'lolmedia/wag' profile. It is truly amazing the effect z list women can have on brain dead men who have the chance to earn life changing money. Title: Re: Jamie O Hara Post by: celtic on January 25, 2017, 08:27:34 PM I read a story about Seth johnson today that made me chuckle.
His contract was up for renewal at Leeds. He was getting £5k pw. His agent told him that he was worth £13k and wouldn't accept any less. So they go into see Risdale, and before they have a chance to say anything, Risdale says, I'm sorry gents, the best I can do is £30k per week. The agent sits there speechless for a few moments, so Risdale says, OK £37k, but that really is the best I can do :) Title: Re: Jamie O Hara Post by: MANTIS01 on January 25, 2017, 08:53:09 PM Seth Johnson was a really good player for Derby and verging on an England career, then switched to Leeds and everything went pop. The first time I saw that happen was Nigel Callaghan who was brilliant at Derby, simply brilliant, then he went to Villa and kapow imploded, within about 2 years he was a 25st dj in Ibiza. I remember the late Graham Taylor made a double swoop for Callaghan and Ian Ormondroyd from Bradford who turned out to be equally shit. Just goes to show that switching clubs is risky business regardless of the money. Feel sorry for Ormondroyd because I reckon he would've made a killing in China today and if I was Crouchie I would get myself over there right now and be the new Gulliver superstar of the league, he'd be untouchable.
Oh and Kieran Dyer... Title: Re: Jamie O Hara Post by: JohnCharver on January 25, 2017, 09:14:30 PM Dani osvaldo packed in to be a singer last year

Was a very good player. Shame the injuries ruined his career. But the post with his first touch for England. He lives around Derby now I believe. Last I saw him was a few years ago, did ask him about his knee. He said he could barely run on it, he said he couldn't even go into coaching. But tbf. After being g on 37k a week he probably didn't need to... Title: Re: Jamie O Hara Post by: celtic on January 25, 2017, 10:04:40 PM I read a story about Seth johnson today that made me chuckle. Obv not taking Hangeland's view as gospel but I thought Zaha was more of a hard worker tbh, but not surprised by Adebayor or Hennessey's inclusion. The latter has the slowest feet of any pro keeper i know! :) |
