blonde poker forum

Well, it's time to tinker with the Forum again.

To keep this place fresh, & try to sustain it's growth, we need to keep working at improving the place.

When we talk about more Boards, the discussion tends to get "hot", and it's pretty tricky to get the balance right between the number of boards, & ease of navigation, especially as the growth in traffic on blonde continues apace. January, during which we celebrated our first Birthday, saw a new record for our Forum, with an average of around 900 Posts per day, & 40 new Topics per day, so it's a struggle to maintain that balance.

We have made changes before, & always promised that we would review them in the light of changing circumstances, & your feedback.

The relatively new "Poker Hand Analysis" Board, currently a Child Board, has delighted us with it's popularity, & the depth of good, solid, debate it has generated, with contributors coming from the full spectrum of poker players, ranging from complete newbies to established world-class players - and BOTH ends of that range are equally important.

After much debate between the Admin/Mod Team, we have decided to make the following changes.

The "Poker Hand Analysis" Board will become a Main Board, in General Discussion.

"Best of Blonde" will become a Child Board.

In short, therefore, those two Boards are going to swap places.

Please let us know what you think about this change, & continue to suggest other modifications or improvements you feel might benefit the blonde Members.

As with all changes we make here, they are not cast in stone, & we will change them if they don't work out.

We are equally pleased with the way the Betting Tips Board is growing, but have not yet decided if it merits moving to a Main Board. As always, your feedback will help us to decide how to handle this.

The changeover between Best of Blonde & Poker Hand Analysis will take place almost immediately.

It would be too much to expect a unanimous welcome to these changes, but we hope most of you think we have done the right thing on this occasion. And we are pretty sure you will let us know if you think we have not.....

Got my approval :D I think it'd work better that way because the Best of Blonde isn't looked at and updated as much as the Poker Hand Analysis board.

yes Ifm, that is certainly an option too and likely to be utilised in due course

Definitely a good idea - when we were doing updates at Luton one guy came up to me and said he had been on the forum but he only saw the chat and wanted something more poker orientated. i showed him the other boards which he was happy with but if he thought that then there are others........great idea to highlight hand analysis.
