Title: I give up.. Post by: Heid on February 05, 2006, 12:30:09 AM ...pig sick.
Not playing online anymore. Outdraw after outdraw, it's not even funny today. Done my roll in, pissed off, and that's it. I've had enough. Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: redimp on February 05, 2006, 12:38:15 AM (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Heid)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Time for a big bar of chocolate hun its the only thing for it!! or a double vodka which would be my preference :D Take care love Shellyxxxx Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: Ginger on February 05, 2006, 01:11:09 AM I know how your feeling Heid, I got so ticked off with it that about 3 weeks ago I cashed out most of my accounts and now only play when I really fancy it, Which at the moment isn't much!
I know partly it was my own fault as I was stressed out anyway, which is not the best time to be playing. I was simply playing pretty badly. Give it a break for a while and come back to it fresh, take however long you need. The game will still be there :D Big hugs being sent your way Jane x Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: suzanne on February 05, 2006, 01:22:46 AM Girly ((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) we have all been there honey and I know only too well the feeling. The same advise of taking time out was given to me which lasted a day :D but never the less did make me more determined to beat the b******ds.
You know you are good (ive watched you play) Go for the double vodka :)up Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: NoflopsHomer on February 05, 2006, 01:37:30 AM I refer you to Red Dog's KK outdraws post which was followed by a small(ish) win. Don't let the bastards grind you down. :)
Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: dan on February 05, 2006, 01:41:21 AM heid, i went through this about a week or so ago. i was getting outdrawn when i was massive favourite to win hands, i was getting beat by slightly better hands all the time. i could have a full house and somebody would have a bigger one or i could have a king flush and somebody would have an ace flush.
i spoke to cupcake about it and said i would take a break which i found hard to do but had a break for a day. i then came back and just played basic poker to try and get some wins under my belt. since then ive cashed in 5 out of 8 multis and now im getting frustrated because ive only made 1 final table but at least im making a profit again. take a break even if it is a day or 2 and then try again. Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: Solver on February 05, 2006, 02:04:42 AM Sorry to hear that Heidi,
Live play rules anyway, and now your a doorstep from the Gutshot. Try a change of site or game, or just simply take a break. We've all been there and were all still here. Stu Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: Poppet7 on February 05, 2006, 02:30:26 AM Unlucky Heid, I've been having the same problem so have given up for a while
x Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: Snatiramas on February 05, 2006, 08:56:09 AM It is just so easy to call with filth when you do not have to face the person live. I went through exactly the same Heid and then lo and behold won a trip to the Bahamas on stars. Now only use the web for qualifications and the occassional night of babysitting boredom relief, after all you can only rewatch old poker programmes so often.
Hope the ploom lifts Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: The Truth on February 05, 2006, 10:13:51 AM Heidi
A wee break will prob work wonders. Something I do regularly. Whatever you do all the best :)up Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: ACE2M on February 05, 2006, 10:21:14 AM It sucks.
Strange feeling when you are just so pissed off you can't take it anymore and you know it's coming. As everyone else has said a small break will do wonders although i know red-dogs remedy is to play more!! Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: TightEnd on February 05, 2006, 11:10:47 AM She's obviously been getting bad advice 8)
Try a bit of live poker, might restore your confidence a treat Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: SKIPPYSKIP on February 05, 2006, 11:45:30 AM Heid I know where you coming from, especially on crypto outdraw after outdraw, Im at the stage of saying bollox to playing on-line and will only play live. Im lucky my local card clubs and casino's run regular sit and go's might be the way forward, to many bad players.
Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: Indestructable on February 05, 2006, 08:33:53 PM I know the feeling, having a bad day myself. Not down to bad beats just down to plenty of "why did I just do that" moments.
:dontask: Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: Heid on February 06, 2006, 01:27:08 AM Well I just spent an evening playing live, and had a blast. Online just did my head in this weekend.
Thank you all for your kind words. I'm going to settleinto my new job for a few days then make a tentative foray onto online poker again. {{{{{hugs}}}}} To all :) Heid xx Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: brad.strider on February 06, 2006, 01:37:05 AM good luck in youre new job heid :)up
Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: The Baron on February 06, 2006, 04:46:42 AM Hey Heid,
I know this isn't great comfort at this moment but all of us know how you are feeling right now. You'll bounce back - "the force is strong in this one". Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: EvilSteve on February 06, 2006, 12:26:48 PM I hadn't played Poker since before Xmas because of similar reasons, kept doing in my bank roll and wasn't enjoying it anyway. Two weeks ago started playing again, was enjoying it and playing well and cashing in most of the 30 person/3 table SnGs I was playing. Decided to play a Turbo SnG a few days ago, first time playing a Turbo for me and I won it, played another won again then either won or cashed in the next 3 or 4. Thought I'd found my perfect game but then in the past 2 days I've been still playing these Turbos and had no luck whatsoever, dunno if I was just on a lucky streak previously but every time I play I'm getting out drawn or losing the races where as before it was the complete opposite. I had my bankroll up to a significant amount at which point I'd usually cash out a portion of it but this time I didn't and I've pretty much almost lost it all again. It's gutting. Still find myself playing every night tho even though I'm not sure I want to half the time!
Time to take a break for both of us I think! Title: Re: I give up.. Post by: zelda on February 06, 2006, 12:45:42 PM Oh Heid I think everyone here can empathize with you - its part of the game unfortunately... Good luck in everything you do :)
