Title: Pies... Kev be jealous....
Post by: Rod Paradise on February 06, 2006, 03:59:20 PM
I was at a Smoker on Saturday (fundraiser for a local amateur football team) - normally at these you get a speaker, then have a meal, then another couple of speakers - all of whom tell crude jokes.

There was a change at the one I was at, there was a buffet!! - We were not impressed, thinking we were getting quiche & salads etc....

Went through & the buffet consisted of  ribs, chicken legs, sausage rolls & 6 (yes SIX) different kinds of pies... scotch pies, steak pies, haggis pies, chicken tikka pies, even macaroni pies for any veggie silly enough to attend. Best of all NO rabbit-food at all, the only green things were the napkins. I only wished I'd had a camera to get a picture for Kev  :D

Greggs macaroni pies are amazing.

If I could give out awards, I would give a gold medal to the person who invented macaroni pies.

 A true genius.

I like garlic bread as well, Silo. Not only does it taste good. It also keeps vampires away  :D

I should have also mentioned while praising Gregs macaroni pies that they also make fantastic pizza slices. I was adicted to these for awhile.
