Got up to 20k again (5k starting) and busted Colossus, they are having issues online and some people can't reg for some reason. Looks like I won't get to play so will most likely play the PLO giant in an hour as a replacement tournament, buy-in is the same

Okay finally in a normal event and have 15k (7.5k starting) after first level. My table is amazing so hopefully some run good incoming.

Sorry for not many in game updates but I only use my phone for max 5 mins per hour when playing as you get so much info from players at the wsop. Thankfully we are playing all hour clocks from now so intermittent updates make a bit more sense.

Going to share some plo as it's amusing.

Good start with people check calling 2 streets and folding improved when I had it gets us to 13k from 5k starting, then lose a decebt one wkth pair/wrap vs aces to get back down to 8k.

Then we get this gem, 2 limps at 150 I make it 700 AK85 ds both limpers call and the flop comes AQJ QJcc we have K8cc, checks i bet 2k guy check jams we call he tables T954 with clubs, comes off suit 3 off suit 2 to lose a 10k pot.

Very next hand I pot AA25 off 20bb after limps one guy calls he starts 18bb deep. Flop 773r he has AT77r. Left with 2bb

Next hand fire my 2bb in with AKQ8 5 way flop AAK ha trying to keep this bullet alive

Ha so second bullet 2 limps at 300 I make it 1650 both call I have AKKT. Flop J55ccx both check we jam both call they have ATT8 and QJ96 neither with a flush draw so up to 15k

Basically only one interesting spot happened after dinner:

I open J9hh from the cutoff to 1500 at 600bb playing 13.2k, BB peels and we see a flop of J33ddh, he checks i bet 1200 he calls, turn 4c he checks i bet 3000 he calls river 8c he checks again and I have 7500 back.

This guy was pretty splashy, had opened a load of pots in EP and folded to 3b a lot, he'd also folded around half his BB's to opens which was obviously a bit contrary to his pfr frequency. My decision boiled down to accurately gauging the range he has that gets to the river and then either calls or folds.

I would expect him to make an aggressive action pre with perhaps 22-QQ maybe KK/AA and probably AT+/KJ+ given my stack size, I imagine he peels all Jxs but would have folded some diamond combos.

On the flop I figure he calls all A high, all 3x all Jx all diamond combos and then some Kx and some bdoor hands like 45hh QThh etc.

On the turn I would expect him to fold those Kx and unimproved bdoor draws, call some Ax, all 3x, and then have some blend of calls/jams with diamonds/Jx.

So by the river I thought it was a close decision on whether to jam or not, can be beaten by JT/QJ/KJ(that didnt rip pre) AA/KK and 3x combos as well perhaps by 44 but as I said this guy just struck me as the type to pile that in pre. Hands that I beat, Jxs and J8o probs the only off suit combo, perhaps the small pairs he might not have jammed (again if hes not ripping pre), 8x 4x diamond draws.

A big consideration was that we are only approx 50 off the money and it leaves me 12bb if i'm beat which is a decent shot at getting ITM, with all things weighed up I decided to check back but still not sure what is best, enter Pleno plz (I guess hard unless we know his calling range on river)

PLO bullet 2

Right so we are off to a decent start again ~15k, drop down to 12k when this hand plays out:

I open AK94ds in mid at 300bb to 800, next 2 call, cutoff folds, btn calls and blinds fold.

Pot is 3650 on A98ssc we have reds, this is perhaps where i make a mistake and upon reflection maybe checking is better, the stacks behind are 20k, 5k, 20k. I lead full pot which is obviously never bad but it just leaves me in a puke spot on so many turn cards, I think i should try and check rip instead as the 5k stack commits so wide here. Anyway the first guy folds, 5k peels leaving dust behind (so pretty much draws) and then the btn overcalls so his range is also limited to draws.

Turn pairs the 8, obviously doesn't improve my hand but is about as good as cards get, i have all the A8xx 99xx AAxx as well as some 78xx with draws. Obviously I can be up against 6789 789T etc maybe some 8x wraps.

So there is 14.4k in the middle and i have ~7500 back, obv I have 0 fold equity in this pot as the tiny stack will be getting to showdown so I'm just deciding how to play my hand against btn, obv my flop value range has all just made a house except A9xx and with the tiny stack looking like hes going to put it in I decided to check as i effectively gain position and if not I would be able to rip half pot on all rivers anyway.

So the short stack jams his bowl and then button jams (lol) pretty ridic he has a jamming hand, I fold he tables 78TJ no spade.

So left with 5k which we rifle in 10 mins later with AA63 and are shown a pretty nice spot, AQJ6. I was down to 1 out by the turn.

PLO bullet 3

Hang around to 5pm and then get in again, first interesting pot i play i end up making a laydown to the woman on my left, she flashes her hand to me as she collects the pot and says "I should have raised you sooner" she showed me AQ34 on 2598, it wasn't until the next hand when she tabled A6KK on a T345J board that i realised she thought we were playing hi lo.....

Anyway i get up to about 12k by the first break and then this hand happens at 300bb, James Obst has just won 2x 3b pots to get to 25bb and opens full pot from the hijack 8 handed, the btn is a decent player and has 25k he flats, I flat from the BB with KQ97ds.

The flop comes JT4hhc i have bdoor clubs, this flop creates quite a nice spot as Obst has about 2x pot left, obviously he has lots of hands he cant continue with on this flop as well as quite a few he can, obviously i'm going to be in bad shape against some of those. The button should have far less strong continues, he's flat this open off a big stack, i would expect to see him 3b hands like AKJx nut hearts type hands as well as obv AA/KK.

So with that in mind i decided to leverage the situation by leading as i pretty much want to do with lots of hands in this spot, gives Obst a chance to shove and put it to the btn 6k+ cold, obv when Obst does put it in i'm never going to be loving it but we have a wrap so gamboooool. Obvs of course playing this way if btn does over jam I just fold dusting 3k.

Obst does indeeed jam, btn folds and Obst tables JT92 3 diamonds.....obv if I know hes opening this wide then I love the flop lead even more. Anyway we lose that flip and are down to 6kish.

Now when Obst is in the BB we open AKK8ds, comes to him and he pots it, we get it in and he tables AT87. Again not quite sure what hes doing here, excepting making a flush on the turn.

J3348 vs bb?

Assuming you want to value bet rather than bluff I would most likely check turn and go for bigger street OTR, he will have some random QTbdfd floats OTF, people generally overbluffing once initiative is surrendered on a previous street so he may do some dumb bluff like ATo when board runs out J3347, can bluff all his KQs etc and when he does check 3 times we can go for a bigger street on the river than the turn, it will confuse him and generally when people are confused they want to know the answer. I would go 3 streets with QJ+

I think the flop lead with the wrap is defo best play there, Obst just punting

Ha lose KKT9 on TT6 vs nfd for 20k pot, so down to 20k. Then lose a few small pots down to 15k. Think I'm getting back into it on AKQ with JTxx but manage to lose that to KT97 T hi fd. Down to 6k, get that 6k in AAQ9 vs KQT9 and the flop just rips off Txt.

Turb 8d, sb now bets 4900 leaving 2k behind, bb flats I flat so about 26k in the pot, river 7d. Sb jams bb calls. A3 and AJ.

No recovery, short stack ninja for a while then played a limped pot from bb vs utg and sb. QT7 I had 689x and 8bb so just fired pot, utg had QQxx and bb AKJx so was pretty horrible shape. Turned an 8 but river J.

Been a hectic last couple of days here lads, here are the numbers I have after all the dust has settled.

You all paid $159/% towards package 2 which was $183/%. We had 0 cashes but $5910 in returns after MU applied.

As you can see the PLO8 and $3k NLH are on the same day, I plan on playing the PLO8 (unless day 2 of the 1500nl) and rebuying if i bust within the first 4hrs. If i bust the PLO8 then I would play the 3k NLH but only while buying in means at least 50bb.

Then with the online event the same rule would apply, I'd only re enter until level 7 giving 50bb, they allow 4hrs of late reg which is basically 15bb. Should be a better event than the other online ones as has a 20min level and they've been pushing sats hard.

So a bit like last package i've put in more events than are likely to be played, the only difference here is i may play the 1k tag team event in the middle but unlike a couple of years ago when i came 4th I won't be playing it 'solo' so not fair to sell action to you guys.

Just had a grim one, new guy at table playing 50k opens 700 from HJ at 300bb we make it 2500 btn with AK, he calls flop K42r with 2c he check calls 2k, turn 7c he check calls 5k. River 8c he leads 10k. We don't have a club in our hand. He just doesn't have any bluffs here I can work out unless he's some hero turning TT or KJ etc into a bluff.

Decided on turn to go 50% theb 70% most rivers as opposed to say 65% turn then 50 river. Hard against a guy I haven't see play a hand who has a mountain.

Back from dinner with 25k, had to do some battling with the big stack, hasn't gone well so far but I'm sure it will eventually.

2 hands later on btn goes 2 limps before me I make it 200 with AK23 nut spades bb calls utg limper makes 875 i call hu to flop. Comes K54 2 spades so absolute gin board, he leads for near pot I jam he has AA24 which is obv a great hand, board pairs 4 on the turn river T.

Flop K87r 1h 1d. All check turn Qd. SB now leads 1200, obv leading 6 way on this board is pretty strong when there are 2 lows and 6 players VPIP in raised pot. I decided to flat as does a weak player in LP, can pretty much assume A2xx.

River 9c, obv improves my hand slightly but brings in JT which LP could have, it's a good card though as no high. Now the SB tanks a little and bets 3100. There are very few JTxx combos he can have AJT nut diamonds/AJT2 or KKJT/QQJT/KQJT. I tank for a bit trying to get a read on the player in position and eventually call.

SB turns over the KJT4 with T hi diamonds....

Sorry didn't update this thread sooner, been drowning my sorrows. Busted the O8 by getting 1/4 a couple of times then peeling a min in bb with QJ64 and jamming JT4r AJ23 made running flush.

Ran straight over to the 3k and 4 hands in ran KK into AA which seems completely reasonable.....

Turbo bounty went well for first 2hrs got to 15k and 1 ko, after the break I never won a pot, had 4 more shots at a bounty but no joy.

In the online now and we have 35k from 15k

Up to 110k in the online 1k
