Ali Imsirovic dispatched Sam Greenwood & David Peters when his  Aspades Ac beat their respective  8s 8c &  5s 5c.

Shortly after he also claimed the scalp of Mikita Badziakouski when his  Kh Kc held against the shove with  Ad Jh.

These two hands propelled him to the top of the chip count with 1.1m. Christoph Vogelsang 853k, Cary Katz 547k & Stephen Chidwick 480k made up the rest of the field.

With only two getting paid (£2.1m for 1st & 900k for 2nd) it was always going to tight.

At one stage it looked like Imsirovic & Vogelsang would pull away from the other two. Katz was mostly at the bottom of the pile. Chidwick started chipping up to take the lead with Imsirovic dropping to 3rd. Katz then got two double ups to equalize the field for 2nd to 4th chipstacks while Chidwick held 40% of the chips in play.

If Chidwick could take this down, he would move up to 6th in the all time money list (ahead of David Peters & Fedor Holz).

Sadly, two hands proved very costly. Firstly, Katz moved all in with  6c 6s & Chidwick called with  Ad Kd. The board ran out  Td 9h Th 6d 4d to swap their positions. Then, Imsirovic shoved with  Tc Td and Chidwick called with  Aspades Qh. The board ran out  4d 7c Ts 5d 8h to leave Chidwick with chips for one orbit. Although he managed one small double, he departed in 4th.
Vogelsang departed soon after when his  6h 6d went up against Imsirovic's  Ks 7h. The  7c 2d 7d flop was pretty painful and the  2s Qs completed the board.

HU began with Imsirovic holding a 60/40 lead over Katz. Katz managed to get ahead only for Imsirovic to regain his lead and stretch it to more than 3:1. Katz again fought back and managed to get level.

Final hand went in Katz's favour. He called a raise from Imsirovic ( Th Ts) with  Qs 3s. Flop came down  Kc Aspades 6s. Small bet (35k into 300k) from Imsirovic called by Katz. Turn  Tc. Much bigger bet (250k) called by Katz. River is  5s giving Katz 2nd nuts. Imsirovic shoved the river with an instant call by Katz.
