Title: Hashtag United
Post by: bergeroo on January 28, 2020, 11:36:37 AM
Youtube football team that joined the football pyramid last year in the 10th tier. Currently playing in the ninth tier Essex Senior League. I am really into the idea of it all. They film all their games and make little packages with interviews, manager team talks and stuff like that and put it on Youtube where they are usually one of the top 20 ranked viewed Youtube football teams in the world. Also had a series to find new players and unearth new talent. One of their players is now playing in League Two and I expect more will follow as it is a great way to put yourself in the shop window.

Also have an E Sports team that plays FIFA.

They have fans around the world and it is a different way to growing a team than has been done before. They all seem very down to earth with no egomaniac chairman pumping unsustainable money in or anything like that.

Wondered if many people were aware of them or what people's opinions are?

Thought I would put a thread up because I am in London today and they are playing so I am going to watch them play away vs the mighty Cockfosters FC

Have seen every single one of their games at least twice haha. My second favourite YouTube team after se dons who are a little less professional but a lot more entertaining. I strongly believe a team like this will rise up to football league quickly.

I went to one of their games last season and had a great time. Young crowd obviously but a lot less hatred and bile which was refreshing.

Have stopped watching the youtube vids but non-league is where it's at entertainment wise.

Their FA Cup 1st Qualifying round is on BBC on Monday! They have a young winger Josh Osude who seems absolutely electric. Excited to see how far he goes in the game.
