Is this not the most brilliant bitter sweet comedy program on the box ?

Spot on Laz, superb programme, I am a week in front because i watch the E4 episode.  The acting is first class and the comedy value is top notch ... and It is written by a chap called Paul Abbot, who happens to be the cousin of poker player Kevin O'Connell.

Also another top programme is "Life on mars" with phillip glennister and John Simms.. some superb comedy moments in that too.

Shameless = awesome telly but i have to watch it on my own - the girlfriend absolutely hates it - too much swearing and drugs and all that.

Life on mars = excellent too.

Agreed, Shameless is superb, especially the actor who plays the bloke with Tourettes.

Some classic lines last night... couldn't stop chuckling when he shouted out 'Jabba'...!

I get the full two hour fix of Shameless every week too, it's different class.

I'm also hooked on Life on Mars, seen every episode.

It was the shout of 'Ermintrude' that nearly ended me  :D

BBC1 9pm Mondays.

It's about a policeman who's been in some kind of an accident and somehow wakes up

(well the viewer is never sure whether it's a dream or a coma or time travel) in the 1970's in a "Sweeny type scenario".

So he has present day values which are contrasted against those of his colleagues.

Damn good science-fantasy in my book, and highly recommended.

Haven't seen Shameless, and only caught one episode of Life On Mars (right in the middle) so not sure whether to try to keep watching or wait until it reruns to catch it from the beginning.

Funniest TV moment for some time: in LOM where Simm sees the white dog-s***. It got me thinking... "Oh yeah, you never do see that any more, do you?"

 :D

life on mars may have different people each seires going to different era's. I think although good its a shame they don't make more of it.
It feels like the sweeney for kids.

Shameless is great, but i think it has gone down hill this year, seems to be about lip all the time. Not enough Frank.
