Title: Ok, now Im annoyed Post by: RED-DOG on June 28, 2005, 03:10:34 AM I was playing the $75 multi on Ladbrokes, about 40 left, I was chip leader when the poker manager puts this message in the chatbox "Due to routine maintenance this tournament will end at 2.15am and players will be paid according to their chip positions at that time" result, total pandamonium, most players had no Idea what a chip count was, it turned into a total crapshoot
At 2.15 the site just closed down, I managed to hang on to second, but we have no Idea how much we will get or how many will be paid I rang laddies and got one of those blokes whose job it is to talk nicely to you and calm you down, I was having none of that and insisted on speaking to a senior manager. I asked him why they let the comp start f they knew it couldnt finish and he said they had no way of knowing how long a tornament would take, I said "well it starts at the same time every night, and there has never been one that ended before 2.15, He then said "well, I could always cancell it now and return your entry fee" was that a threat? anyway I convinced him that I wasnt going to go quietly and he said he would look into it further I AM ANNOYED Title: Re: Ok, now Im annoyed Post by: Robert HM on June 28, 2005, 09:34:02 AM That sounds outragous, has it happened before?
