hoddle was a good manager till he left the saints untill then he was propberly the best manager in england after venger and fergusion

ok he did sod all for spurs and wolves but was quality with swindon chelsea england and the saints

Curbishley will only take the England job or one of the Big 4.

He has stated a few times to people close to him within the club he has no interest in going to other clubs around the same level (and lower in Newcastle's case). I know of 3 other prem clubs he has turned down in recent years (Spurs/West Ham off the top of my head) in hope his dream job would come along.

He was tapped up for Spurs job, it's just they knew he would not accept and therefor no formal offer was ever made. Bit like the England job they wont offer it to someone unless they know for a fact he will accept it.
