I knew it was too daft to be true. Title: Re: The Hoddle Problem - Time to Lay? Post by: Ironside on February 10, 2006, 09:05:29 AM yep lay him now as the rumours were fake
also watch out for mike newell he is great mates with shearer and has a coaching badge which means he can team with shearer and help him thru the early days of management newell is shearers choice we will soon see if he has much influence Title: Re: The Hoddle Problem - Time to Lay? Post by: Nem on February 10, 2006, 09:10:00 AM Newell is one of the best up and coming managers around.
Shearer/Newell is a possibility, great tip Ironside. Title: Re: The Hoddle Problem - Time to Lay? Post by: Ironside on February 10, 2006, 09:16:12 AM i hope its a great tip cause i just took £10 at 100
Title: Re: The Hoddle Problem - Time to Lay? Post by: lazaroonie on February 10, 2006, 09:26:26 AM I got a bit at 100/1 when Newell wasnt even quoted on any list. didnt want to put it on as a tip as it is just my own gut feeling.
I am getting a bit excited now !!! Title: Re: The Hoddle Problem - Time to Lay? They'll be at least one season toicket going if that happens. He is not the person for the job. He is not the type of person for the job. Title: Re: The Hoddle Problem - Time to Lay? Post by: Robert HM on February 10, 2006, 09:54:33 AM Go to www.nufc.com and scroll about a quarter of the page down. I knew it was too daft to be true. The unofficial site? Not sure Newcastle have the greatest reputation for respecting their fans so this lot are in the dark as much as we are. However I have already laid Hoddle. Title: Re: The Hoddle Problem - Time to Lay? Post by: Ironside on February 10, 2006, 10:02:20 AM average price for me on hoddle 19.37 £12.00 and laid 7.56 £34.00
waiting for him to go over 11 again so i can level out but hoddle has been a good investment Title: Re: The Hoddle Problem - Time to Lay? Post by: MrMoves on February 11, 2006, 08:34:46 PM Van Gaal has dropped today, only 50 now. Newell 120 is tempting. Hoddle now ruled out.
I don't see the Newc fans loving him though (Newell). Van Gaal or one of the other foreign managers I reckon Title: Re: The Hoddle Problem - Time to Lay? Post by: SKIPPYSKIP on February 11, 2006, 08:52:33 PM Moves agree with you on the Newell factor, I looked this morning and noticed he has already been matched as low as 22.0 (I think), Once news filters around the forums everyone plunges on only to find its a hoax and they drift.
Title: Re: The Hoddle Problem - Time to Lay? Post by: Robert HM on February 12, 2006, 12:47:30 AM Newell 150 on BF now, any news?
Title: Re: The Hoddle Problem - Time to Lay? Post by: Ironside on February 12, 2006, 12:56:55 AM no news on newell but one site today stated O'neil will be offered the newcastle job monday and is likely to take it as the england job doesnt suit his assistant john robertson who is a die hard scot and would never manage england
some people think o'neil will take the newcastle job so his price is going in while overs are drifting i amstanding firm while i am green although i am green to the tune of £2009 on newell so wont cry if he gets the job Title: Re: The Hoddle Problem - Time to Lay? He is not the type of person for the job. explain yourself ? The one season ticket going would be mine, think my dad's would as well. I dont want to get done for liable (or is it slander) for having a go at Mike Newell. There are some stories around the Hartlepool area about his exit, and having worked in a Newcastle hotel when at uni I saw some things i didnt like... Add to this the blokes done nothing in football at a high level, he has no connection to the club, apart from via shearer, we have 'big name' players with even bigger ego's... thats a fact so we need someone who commands respect! Mr O'neil is looking like the man (though i personally think he has an inflated reputation) |
