Title: What would you do next
Post by: action man on February 10, 2006, 01:59:45 PM
there are 22 players left in the $3500 guaranteed. only 9 places pay, i am going for the win 100%

I had 22k chips with blinds at 600/1200   im on BB with Ks 2h  theres a middle pos limper (who is a tight/cagey player) and the sb makes it up i check.

the flop comes.....  Qc 2d 8c  the sb checks.... so i decide that if the limper has a hand like AJ, A10, or even AK he passes, so i decide to bet 3200 into the 3600 pot the limper takes about 3 seconds and calls and the Sb mucks,

The turn comes the 2c   .................. so the board reads     Qc 2d 8c 2c               no i have 19k left and he has about 8.5k

what now im first to speak?

I would have a little cry because I'm about to lose 8.5k more to a flush.

You are going for the win. You can't give him a free card in case he has the bare Ac, possibly with a card that has given him a pair on the board

However he may have a made flush.

The pot is 10400, if you bet anything less than his full stack he's going to feel he's got the odds to hit a flush

Set him all in quickly, give him every chance to pass, and silently pray

If he's got the flush you still have outs to the house.

that's a tough spot action man.

that turn card giving you trip 2's is going to cost you a pile of chips every time

i still lose piles of chips playing hands in the SB and BB I would never normally touch...or at least it feels like I do, one of those things
