Matt674, perhaps you are the one to tell us all about the game these lonely hearts will be playing tonight?

hmmm, this is a new one on me - i may have to consult with my monkey solicitor friend to see whether this is all legit. I dont have a tree vine that swings all the way as far south as London Village and therefore will not be able to frequent this establishment to see how our name is taken in vain....

If it were down to me with a room full of lonely heart singles (of the female persuaision) then i would have several unique ideas as to what the monkey part would be.

"Now i'm the king of the swingers, the jungle VIP"...  :D

Apparently my monkey solicitor friend informs me that the game is being sponsored by a brand of whiskey that incorporates the "Monkey" name - hence "monkey poker". We have yet to establish how "monkey poker" differs from normal poker but to be honest we have now changed course and are concentrating on how our name managed to get on a bottle of whiskey (especially as most of us are tee-total). We may be able to get some royalties for our name being used or free samples at worst.

This worked for our elephant and tiger friends when they both found out their name was being used in the alcohol trade (though in the case of the elephants it took a long time for them to become inebriated on their version of the lager - i believe the words "cat" and "p**s" were used!!)

Tea total?!? I have seen that nice Mr Attenborough showing the effects of fermented banana pulp on the swinging abilities of the Mid African monkey. I feel you protest too much and hide a taste for the odd banana cocktail.

Its the consumption of one too many banana cocktails in my early years that has led to this monkey becoming a tee-total!!!

And those documentaries were all set up - they laced our banana pulp on purpose because they thought it would make for more interesting tv.....
